We were able to look at the murals while walking on the bridge. The site is closed right now due to construction so we didn’t get to see everything only at a distance.

These big bright murals are at the base of a floodwall as you cross the bridge. They showcase the history of Kentucky and is a dramatic improvement over a cement or even a graffiti covered wall.

These paintings are beautiful and well worth a walk by. There is lots of construction going on in front of the murals which made us question if we should even be there. We didn't feel in danger or in the path of construction equipment but the noise did break the peace of the the setting.. The Embassy Suite parking garage is right in front of the murals so it makes a great place to park with a very short walk to the murals.

I went to the Roebling Bridge which is historical itself having been built in the late 1800s. Right beside the bridge you will find a dozen or more mural that were painted many years ago. I don't know the whole history of these, but if you enjoy viewing history, then this is a place for you and your family and friends.

I had this on my list of things to do while visiting cincinnati thanks to trip advisor. Beautiful art. The artwork turned what appears to be a concrete flood wall into a masterpiece. Well worth the time to visit. Just a few steps from the entrance/exit to the Roebling suspension bridge.

If you are going to cross the Roebling Bridge into Kentucky, treat yourself to some open air art work on the bank of the Ohio River. The murals are arranged chronologically from left to right highlighting significant moment for the area.

Getting to the murals was a bit tricky. The gate to the staircase leading down to the murals on the right side of the bridge was locked. So we crossed the road to the left and followed it down and under the bridge to the start of the murals.

One of the best kept secrets in Cincinnati is actually hiding in plain sight. As you cross the Roebling bridge, which is famous in its own right, you will see huge murals on the wall on the Kentucky Riverbank, that are now termed the Roebling Murals. These beautiful murals trace the history of the area including bison migration pathways of old crossing the Ohio River, uncle Tom's Cabin story of Eliza the slave escaping across the Ohio River, and paintings of Roebling Bridge architect John Roebling who went on to design the Brooklyn Bridge in nearly identical fashion. The view from the murals, of the great Ohio River, the highlights of the architecture over on the Cincinnati shoreline, and the Roebling bridge itself are simply outstanding and photogenic, in any season. Stop over and have a scenic view with a history lesson that can be enjoyably absorbed. I have brought numerous international visitors, scholars and students to see this spectacular site, and they all insist on its being a great spot.

My son was an art student in high school when these are being painted and got to meet the artist and study his work.....It is excellent. They are a depiction of the history of the area from the beginnings through to the millennium. They are in excellent condition even though they were started 15 years and ago and endure the stages of the Ohio River. It is a most pleasant walk along the Riverfront with a beautiful history lesson. Parking can be found east of the murals on the riverfront or in pay garages a block or so up from here. One can enjoy a stroll along the riverfront area going west from the Licking River with the murals at the end of the walk.

We took a walk along the wall and enjoyed the quality of the murals and the story that they tell. They are worth seeing.
