The rafting was amazing! Austin did an extraordinary job, he was calm, patient and highly skilled. He made all of us feel safe, as it was our first time in any kind of rapids. We went through Class 1, 2 and 3 rapids, and we would all go again. The water level was lower so the pace was a little slower and the weather was perfect. It’s not constant paddling, and we felt it was enjoyable with just enough action. We only had 4 people in our group plus Austin, and we aren’t athletes (ages 40s, 50s and 60s). Watch the safety video and then the website video, it will make you feel better about what you will actually experience. The whole group of rafts goes down the river together and helps each other the whole time. There are places to swim and the Jumping Rock, which two of us did! The big boat at the end is where everyone gets lunch and a nice ride back to a dock where the bus is waiting. It’s a full day of activity, but we were still able to do a few things in downtown Corbin afterwards.

We've probably been here a dozen times, whether it be camping, kayaking, or riding electric bikes, and every time has been more or less perfect.
It's always been affordable and has always gone without any hitches or hiccups. We are almost always able to book trips at the last minute so we know the weather will be nice

My spouse and I went there for Labor Day weekend and had an awesome trip. Unfortunately, we arrived very late on Friday because of work, but all of the information we needed to access the cabin was waiting for us when we arrived and we quickly found the cabin and moved in. Unfortunately, I am not a tent person and a true camper...LOL. The cabin was very clean, had a full bathroom and kitchen which was stocked with all of the utensils, pots, pans, cutlery, and dish ware that we needed. The bedroom was clean and fresh and the AC was very cold (like i said, I am not a true camper). There was a back deck outside of the bedroom, and another covered deck in the front and both were supplied with tables and chairs. There was a grill out front that we didn't use and a fire pit that we used every night with the free fire wood they supplied. The next morning, we when to check-in cabin/convenience store, It was well supplied with anything you might have forgotten to bring and the staff was extremely helpful in planning activities for you. We did an 8 mile hike along the river the first day and experienced some awesome views. On Sunday, we did the white water rafting trip starting "under the falls." Our guide Joel was amazing and I highly recommend him for your trip. He has over 30 years experience on this river and everyone on our raft had a great time! He is an asset to this company. There were probably 14 rafts on our trip, and for what I could see, everyone had a great time and all of the guides seemed to be providing an excellent experience. All of the support staff at the campground were very friendly and helpful, and the owner Dania was always present in the day to day activities going on and very helpful in answering questions as well. I honestly can not wait to go back! Unfortunately, we may have left a dirty bowl, spoon, and saucer in the sink that your staff had to clean :) but we tried to leave it as we found it and wanted to get another hike in before we headed home. Huge shout out to Joel, Dania, and all of the staff at the resort! If you notice in the picture, my little maltipoo enjoyed the trip as well!

My group and I embarked on a 24 mile, two day kayaking trip and planned to camp around the 12-14 mile marker. Upon our 1st mile, we ran into unexpected, challenging rapids that caused our youngest to flip (thankfully our gear is properly packed). Our issue came from the lack of communication and any guidance from the company we rented from. there was no indication that the water would be lower than ever before, which made finding campsites impossible due to extreme mud and no defined campsites or any markers along the river. we were essentially forced to either camp in a random patch of woods that was muddy and uncleared, or push on and complete all 24 miles in one night.
We purposely rented fishing kayaks so that way we would have more room to store stuff and so that it would be a sit on top kayak, however upon arrival we were told by the driver that these kayaks that were pictured online or downgraded for a cheaper design. The kayaks we were given were much worse quality than what we’re pictured online and made the experience much less enjoyable and harder to plan for. I can’t believe that we spent more money for the nicer kayaks but we’re downgraded without any notice and essentially mocked by our driver for choosing those.
In other kayaking experiences I’ve had, the company providing the kayaks were very helpful and gave many tips and places to stay and avoid, but here there was no communication other than to sign a waiver in case we damaged their stuff. Even the map given for where we would be going from (HWY 927), was very unclear as to where we would actually come to be picked up.
I would not recommend this trek for anybody unless you can find another company that would provide better services. Not being able to find any campsite past the 12 mile marker made it very difficult for us to have any good experience.

It was not worth the money. I had spent 1/2 of this in Tennessee and Colorado and was more exciting. We returned within 6 hours. (1 hour was hiking to Dog Slaughter Waterfall-which ended up being the best part of the trip-but some people didn't sign up to hike). We also took a 30 min break so people could smoke, which I thought was a little long. The rapids were little anyways, but our guide purposely tried to avoid them due to an older couple being in our raft. That was sweet that he tried to cater to their needs but 4 of us felt our need for excitement was disregarded. We did get a great view of the falls and our lunch on the riverboat was good.
I would suggest that when groups are placed together to have them fill out if they want to try to hit every rapid or if they want a smoother ride.

We were at Cumberland Falls on a 5 day trip and were waitlisted for the whitewater rafting so we were trying to figure out what else to do since we already did so much. (TIP: book whitewater rafting a week before you leave)
My 19 year old daughter thought the electric bike sounded fun. My 17 year old son though it sounded lame. I, who am pleasantly plump, was not enthusiastic about the idea. Despite the majority not being enthusiastic about the idea, our misconceptions quickly turn around during a quick test ride around the parking lot.
Those electric bikes have some power to them. You are still expected to peddle but I can only say those bad boys got some kick! Haha! I
There are some stone paved trails 1/2 mile down for where you pick up the bike at. You have to ride the main road but drivers are quite accommodating. They give you a map with different routes so there is a lot to see.
And a few points in time I made it up to 25 mph on some of the hills. Wow!🥰😂😂😅
By the time we were done our butts were sore but... my daughter bragged about her choice of activity, my 17 year old son was trying to find out if he could buy one of the bikes for homes, and I had no regrets.
A few bumps, bruises, 1 scrapped knee, but no regrets.
(TIP: It gets hot and humid out there even with an overcast. There is nowhere to stop. Where a light back pack with gatoraid/poweraid. Even though the bikes are electric and they help you still have to pedal and you can get dehydrated.)

We built the half-day kayak trip from Blue Heron to Yamacraw into a weekend trip to South Fork. Everything was really well coordinated and went so smoothly. We were beginners, but our guide gave us some helpful tips and we had a great morning!

My sister and I canoed the 2 day, 17 mile, upper section of Cumberland River. Most of the trip was absolutely AMAZING! The staff was friendly and helpful. Padding the river was relaxing and the scenery was beautiful! We picked a place to camp along the west bank. The sound of the moving water was so peaceful. There was a trail not far behind our camp site, so we expected to see hikers due to the perfect weather that weekend. Instead, what we encountered were groups of loud off-road vehicles. They drove past several times as the evening progressed, making their final pass around midnight. It was a little scary and unnerving. I notified Sheltowee Trace the next day in the event they were not aware. It would have been nice to know if this was an off-road touring company or rowdy drunk teens. This is the only reason I scored 4/5. When we got back on the water the next day, we noticed the trail seemed to follow the west bank, but we never saw any places to camp along the east bank. Overall, the trip was amazing and something we will definitely do again. Just be prepared.

Stayed here for Moonbow weekend. The positives are: excellent proximity to Cumberand Falls, well laid out campsites, tents are also allowed on campsites. The utilities at the campsites are all together in the back. BRAVO!! To whomever laid out the campground utilities.
The negatives: if you have small kids you betta watch out!! There's apparently not any speed limit in this campground. It's like a gravel autobahn! The staff zoom around on golf carts and mini school busses pulling rafts. There are a bunch of millennials Camping in tents here and they have no idea to drive 10mph in a campground.
The bathhouse is ok. The exhaust fans don't work too well so the showers can turn into saunas quickly and some of the deadbolts don't easily release leaving you temporarily locked inside said sauna (this happened to multiple people).
Overall I would stay here again, however I was quite aggravated that my parents were ask to pay an extra $6 because they arrived an hour early to an already empty campsite. That's a pretty sorry way to treat customers. Hopefully this policy is terminated in the future.

James was our guide for our family rafting trip! We highly recommend rafting with this company. The scenery, the adventure, the rapids, the calm pools, the rock ledges, the waterfall, and James were all top notch… and then to end the trip with lunch on a pontoon. What more can you ask for? Thanks for the great day spent with the family. This was definitely a hi-light of our 2 week trip through Kentucky! I just wish we had brought a camera!!!

There is not. The small pond on-site has lots of frogs but no fish!

Do you know if the trails that allow dogs is close by? Any place for them to swim?
DaniaEgedi
Corbin, KY2 contributions
Yes, the trails on-site at the Adventure Resort, the ones at Cumberland Falls State Resort park and the trails in the Daniel Boone National Forest all allow dogs. I agree that letting your dogs swim in the river near Cumberland Falls would not be the best idea, but they can wade around in the various creeks in the area.

Is it a walking tour or boat tour to get to the base of the falls? Is it appropriate for toddlers (with parents of course)?
DaniaEgedi
Corbin, KY2 contributions
You can't quite get to the bottom of the Falls by walking, but you can get very close. We do also offer a Rainbow Mist ride, which is a raft that takes you up to the base of the Falls and back to the beach. It is an amazing way to see and feel the power of the Falls. Both of those options (walking and the Rainbow Mist ride) are appropriate for toddlers.
