A very historic appx 2 acre park that, at one time, was the heart and soul of all local activity. Dating back to Civil War days, and before, farmers brought their livestock in on the weekly trade day, kept them in the then fenced in area, bought and sold and traded all day and in the evening took whatever they... This park is a real jewel for downtown Bowling Green. There were a lot of people enjoying it for a Thursday night. It is beautifully landscaped and the statues and fountain are very nice and we'll maintained. There are plenty of benches for relaxing or just to sit and watch people walking by. There is also a historical sign about... More

Downtown you have tons of budding restaurants like Tea Bayou, Patent Pending, ect.. you can hang out at, the capital arts building, local thrift shops, and the center is statures & a large fountain. For the younger kids there are about 8 Pokestops in the vicinity they can get from walking around the square.

We're fans of public squares, court house squares, local memorial parks, and similar to "stroll in history." This "public square" is a park, with historical statues, markers, with beautifully flowered walkways. One may take a few minutes to "stretch the legs," or an hour or two of checking out the historical markers, & beautifully maintained old buildings. If one is... More

This small park that is located in downtown of a very fast growing town stands apart from other parks in the area. Not only is it peaceful, as any park should be, but it also has so much southern taste and charm. There is a beautiful fountain in the middle of the park and Greek godess statues amidst the trees.... We drove to old downtown and found some wonderful things to see and photo. Bit of a struggle to find parking, but there was a free multi story parking right close to a Starbucks. short walk to see the beautiful square and war memorials even an old standard oil station has been rebuilt there too. Lovely.

My 8 year old daughter and I walked through as we were shopping nearby. It was a very nice little park. I particularly loved the fountain, it had lots of details. It was really hot and humid when we were there, but if the weather had been cooler I could see us having a picnic as I noticed a few... More

We absolutely loved this lovely park! It was a quiet respite in the middle of the city. The landscaping is beautiful and we enjoyed just sitting & watching the bees & birds fly from one flower to another. The water fountain just added to the serenity. We enjoyed our time in this park and highly recommend it to anyone needing... More

This is a beautiful square that has history , water fountain, beautiful flowers. I love seeing the town square and thinking about what it was like in its hay day. Great for pictures with family or the history.
