If I were young and fit, I'd rate it higher. I'm a senior and I'm not fit. Wide, well marked main trail. It would be nice if the side trails were marked. The terrain is steep. Coming back down, I actually sat & scooted over...More

Beautiful place to hike. The trails were well marked and easy to follow. In the gravel parking lot there are two picnic tables and then a shelter up the trail a little ways with tables. We didn't find any bathrooms. We took the main three...More

Great Sunday morning hike in the peace of God's creation. There are no signs marking the start of the trail so it is a bit hard for an out of towner to find but once we did, it was a very nice one hour hike...More

We hiked up to East Pinnacle, then through Devil's Kitchen and up to Indian Fort Lookout today - great hike, lots of up hill but the views from the rock outcroppings were worth it. Then we took the route to West Pinnacle - after a...More

I really enjoyed the hike up to Indian Fort Mountain. The trail was wide and not difficult except for a couple of areas. You are going uphill, though!! Once at the top you are treated to a wonderful view! Several large rocks are perfect for...More

The Pinnacles are a go-to spot for hikers all over Kentucky. They have been a part of my life since 1985. Ascending them can be strenuous so prepare accordingly. The views are excellent and so worthwhile. If you choose to try West Pinnacle, the view...More

These are the most beautiful rock formations you can see close by. Remember though this isn't for the faint, weak or weary. This is a hiking spot! Take a walking stick, water, ad maybe a light lunch or snacks. Also, anything you carry in /...More

The paths have been worked on so your hike doesn't have to be rugged (unless you take the path less traveled by). Regardless of the path you take, the views from the top are worth every step.

Ihave enjoyed years of hiking the Pinnacles. Two options, each have the best views. My family enjoys it to this day. :)

Hi, I am a student at Berea College and this summer I am doing a entrepreneurship program. My cohort and I are conducting research about what makes a hiking experience awesome as one of our projects. My question is, do those who use TripAdvisor use the website link that is associated with the Berea pinnacles to gather information before you come? If not, what do you use or would you use one that was more up to date?

I did use the website however, the directions to get there were not specific. We asked local people working at Boones Hotel, but found that they weren't sure of where to park. I think that many people would benefit from more... More

Last time we hiked at Pinnacles in March 2017 the restrooms weren't open. There is a beautiful facility in the parking lot. Will the restrooms be open on weekends in June? Thanks!

Yes, dogs are welcome on the trails - leashed. There are some really dangerous cliffs and drop-offs, but a leashed, well behaved dog would be fun. My old lab mix could never make the hills. :-(
