This was a fun surprise train ride from my husband on New Years Eve. The food was good. Our server Amanda was excellent . We sat at table 2 , it's the closest table to the bathroom at the far end of train. The scenery for the first half hour is less than desirable but it does get better. My only complaint would be the windows could use a good wash so we could see out better. Overall I would recommend this for a date or time spent with family .

We really enjoyed this unique dinning experience. Eating while on a train was a throw back experience to a bye gone era.

To begin with, the potato soup, pot roast and salted caramel cheesecake were delicious. The portion of pot roast per individual was huge; most everyone took take home cartons. Freida, our waitress, was a sweetheart. Now for the bad part- DO NOT SIT AT TABLE 19. It is the only table with the smallest windows on the train. You also get your dinner served last (not a huge biggee). The ride is on the same track - coming and going. The view was almost nonexistent e.g. thru neighborhoods; banks, etc. not the panoramic scenery we were expecting. Overall, the consensus of our group was that we wouldn’t not recommend this trip nor go out of our way to experience it (we drove 6 hours and regretted that we lost more time at our previous hotel -Nemacolin Resort)

We really enjoyed the trip. Scenery isn’t that spectacular but the food was really good. I had pork and was excellent but large portion and the bourbon flavor was a bit overwhelming after a while. Could not finish all my meal for sure. Was a bit skewed getting paired with another couple and it was incredibly close quarters. We had fun though! Would do again!

We drove from Indiana for this dinner train to celebrate my birthday. The staff was great! The train and depot were beautiful and well kept. The food was okay. It was meant to be more gourmet, but definitely fell short. The prime rib was huge, It had a good taste, but was overcooked. The disappointing part was the actual scenery from the train. The "highlights" were better on the brochure and the only thing to see. The rest were peoples back yards and abandon items thrown in the wooded area. (toilets, cars, etc). All in all, we had a fun time, however we wouldn't do it again. Especially for the price.
