The food was great and we had a good time. However, bring a jacket because it’s super cold inside that dining car!! The train left on time and the servers were very good! Only draw back (besides the freezing cold temp) was they did not let you know the historical land marks as you were nearing them so it’s very easy to miss them. Also bring cash to tip your servers out at the end of the experience. Would recommend. Wish they offered the murder mystery dinner train more often.

The wait staff deserve 5 stars. Our server was delightful and made sure we were well taken care of. The food was delicious however I would like to note that the bbq shrimp and grits were not what was pictured. I could have made the same shrimp at home. I'm sharing a picture of what I was served. Compare that to the picture on their website and you will see the vast difference. That deserves 3 stars. The entertainment was marvelous. They also deserve 5 stars. We had a fun time during the murder mystery train ride. I just wish the dinner portion was as expected.

This was a fun surprise train ride from my husband on New Years Eve. The food was good. Our server Amanda was excellent . We sat at table 2 , it's the closest table to the bathroom at the far end of train. The scenery for the first half hour is less than desirable but it does get better. My only complaint would be the windows could use a good wash so we could see out better. Overall I would recommend this for a date or time spent with family .

We really enjoyed this unique dinning experience. Eating while on a train was a throw back experience to a bye gone era.

To begin with, the potato soup, pot roast and salted caramel cheesecake were delicious. The portion of pot roast per individual was huge; most everyone took take home cartons. Freida, our waitress, was a sweetheart. Now for the bad part- DO NOT SIT AT TABLE 19. It is the only table with the smallest windows on the train. You also get your dinner served last (not a huge biggee). The ride is on the same track - coming and going. The view was almost nonexistent e.g. thru neighborhoods; banks, etc. not the panoramic scenery we were expecting. Overall, the consensus of our group was that we wouldn’t not recommend this trip nor go out of our way to experience it (we drove 6 hours and regretted that we lost more time at our previous hotel -Nemacolin Resort)
