We cannot say enough good things about our visit!
Apr 2021 • Couples
Our visit changed our minds about fruit wines. They have sweet, semi sweet and dry wines that were all very tasty. The owner gave us very personalized attention and wad very knowledgeable and honest ! Great time! Highly recommend this place. Stop in to see for yourself. Your husband can even get a beer!

Interesting wines. Great experience

Great seasonal wines. Owner was knowledgeable and Tracy was super friendly. Interesting to try a wine in all its stages. Recommend the elderberry. Dry semisweet and sweet. I loved the corn cob. My friends thought it was okay. You've got to try them. I liked the green apple. All apples. I would come again and I'll be looking forward to ordering by phone to mail soon.

If you need a good laugh....

I was unsure about this winery because the wines are berry based instead of grape based. I prefer dry wines instead of sweet. This winery had a nice selection of dry, semi-sweet, and sweet wines. The dry strawberry wine literally tasted like a vine picked strawberry. The wines were loaded with flavor and did not have a strong vinegar taste like some berry based wines. We did a tasting where we sampled 6 wines for a small fee. The owner was very knowledgeable of his process and took us on a behind the scenes tour of how he makes his wine. We tried some of his “random” flavors like corn cob, jalapeño, and dandelion. They weren’t that great but it is definitely a “must try” just to say you have. The wine slushies at the end were a hit with our group. We enjoyed the randomness of this place and took home bottles too.

Great Fruit Wines!!
Oct 2020
Fruit wines!! Excellent!!

We visited last Monday and had a really great experience with Tisch? She was wonderful to work with and really knew the products and how they worked (dry/sweet/mellow etc).

Two tastings, I think $7.50 each... well worth the price. Six different products tasted.
We bought several bottles and they survived our flight home...

Thanksgiving will be special this year with these great wines!! Thanks Tisch!!

Wonderful Winery
Aug 2020 • Couples
We had a great time visiting McIntyre Winery. We went during the day so social distancing was quite easy. Beautiful winery and the wine is fantastic. We ended up buying almost a full case of wine! The sampling of the wine was fun and be sure to try the wine slushies! Worth a visit!

We had a nice visit

They had a real nice visit and they had a great child play house for the young while tasting. It was a nasty day and made for nice indoor activity.

Not worth the stop or Groupon
Aug 2019
We had a Groupon (two tastings and glasses) for this place located about 6 ½ miles from Bardstown where we stayed so went for a visit.
When we called to verify the location the guy was very friendly.
It is located behind a house and parking right in front fo tasting room.
There is a clean rustic design and the tasting room was not large with an accommodating size in a large bar with stools and there were some tables for seating as well. Outside there is a covered patio with some table seating. There was a slight breeze the day we visited.
We were the only people there for a tasting.
All the wines were dry to semi-dry sweet fruit (cherry, blueberry, currant…) which we don’t drink but thought we’d give them a try. The black wine had a bourbon taste on the finish.
Unfortunately there were none to our palate liking and we weren’t offered or given our glasses which were part of the Groupon Deal. Even the paid tasting comes with a free glass.
They also have fruit related items such as jams and syrups.
The lady doing our tasting was not personable at all and didn’t smile the entire time we were there. We tried making conversation with her but to no avail.
So we left as soon as we finished the tasting not impressed with the place, the wine or the service.
The Groupon was a waste and glad we didn’t pay much for it. Wish we had visited a different winery in the area instead.

Great family run place

We stopped in for a tasting and were the only people there. This gave us what was a great afternoon talking to the owner and hearing his very personal story of how the winery came to be and how he manages all he does there. He's very committed to using ingredients for the wine that grow in the wild and to keeping things simple. This is literally a one man operation in terms of bottling and labeling which he does ONE BOTTLE AT A TIME. He has one staff person, but otherwise it's just him. His wines are unique. We bought a bottle of the chocolate cherry. It was truly a delightful afternoon chatting with the owner and seeing his operation in the back, hearing his very personal story and sampling the unique wines. Please visit!

Wine tasting
Jul 2019 • Couples
Stopped in here over the weekend to do a wine tasting. They have a pretty large variety of flavors. I usually am a sweet wine kinda person, but I found theirs to be really sweet. Next time I think I’d go for more of the semi sweet. Staff was great though and and a fun time. I recommend having some cheese. The derby cheese was yummy!

Swung by McIntyre's and was not disappointed. Was helped by Tommy then Debbie and both were extremely helpful and pleasant. Bought a bottle of Blue Cherry and can't wait to open it on a nice summer night!
