We attended a VIP tasting of the Blood Oath Pacts 1-8 with Master Distiller John Rempe. The tasting was made even better since John told of the specific ages and barrels that went into each Pact along with stories and thoughts about each expression. As the older Pacts are nearly impossible to attain, if they do this again, I would highly recommend going. I believe only 16 tickets were sold for this event, so you have to be quick in buying your tickets because it sold out in a few hours.

We took the Distiller's Collection Select on August 6th (75$). This tour is held after normal visitor hours 5-630. Our guide Kaitlyn was welcoming and friendly meeting us at the front doors of the visitor center. She was very knowledgeable about the distillery and Bourbon culture in general, her enthusiasm while conducting the tour was refreshing. The tour began with a short introductory video, followed by a trip through the inner workings of the distillery. It was quite warm being August, we were happy to receive a delicious cocktail once we reached the barreling room. I believe it was Ezra 90, lemonade, and blackberry puree, A++. We toured the rick house which has a great viewing area that really lets you feel just how massive these buildings are. We sampled some aging distillate that had come right from a barrel. Our tasting took place in the 200 year old farmhouse located at the front of the property. Our group of eight was seated at a farmhouse style table just like thanksgiving. Each of us received an outstanding box of charcuteries (see photo). The tasting consisted of two Ezra Brooks bottles, two Rebel, one Lux Row, and wrapped up with a sampling of Blood Oath. Kudos also to Caleb who seemed to be Kaitlyn's support throughout the experience, very nice and knowledgeable guy. Having taken the regular and now this "premium" experience at LUX, I would highly recommend spending the extra $ for the upgrade. We have visited 20+ distilleries, I would not hesitate to rank LUX ROW in my top five favorites every time. Till we meet again! Cheers!

This was the first distillery that we hit on our Bourbon Trail Tour, and the bar was set pretty high after that.
Lux Row's store setup was well stocked and laid out to grab your attention. Not only did they have bottles of their amazing whiskeys, there were t-shirts and outerwear, glasses, bar utensils, stickers, and assorted leather goods. It was truly a smorgasbord of quality.
The tour provided great insight into their whiskey making process. And even though we had a first time tour guide, they did a great job of providing detailed information. For anything additional we needed to know, other members of the team graciously provided. I love that the ingredients are sourced locally for their products. You literally drive past the cornfields to get to the distillery.
The tasting ranged from their opening standard, Rebel Yell 80 proof and escalated to Blood Oath. I highly recommend springing a nominal amount for the additional tasting, to have one of their reserved libations and you keep the glass.
The entire team did an amazing job of being functional and efficient while keeping themselves and their guests safe. Everyone followed the guidelines for safe interaction and avoiding possible contamination.
I was very impressed with the staff, there facility and the range of products that was offered by Lux Row. We did however miss out on being able to bring home a bottle of Blood Oath, as someone the tour ahead of us, purchased the last bottle. I highly recommend checking them out when you head to Bardstown.

My husband picked Lux Row as one of our stops on our little Bourbon Trail tour. It was the only place he picked not knowing much about the brand going in and it so far has been our favorite place.

The property itself is newer and quite nice. The staff was engaging when we arrived and checked in. If you're a bourbon fan, there's an option for an extra upgrade on the tour. Not being a bourbon fan, I was the only one who passed on this.

Our guide, Hannah, was fantastic. She was informative, funny and engaging. Husband said he even learned a few new things on the tour. Once we toured the facility, we ended in the tasting room where we got to try 4 bourbons (5 with the upgrade) and 3 of them with a chocolate accompaniment. Everything is better with chocolate!

What's also cool about Lux Row is that they had a single barrel option that's only available at the distillery and not exorbitantly priced. They limit the bottles per person for obvious reasons.

Had a tasting tour and it was great! Dakota was a terrific tour guide. Really informative without being overly technical and she was friendly and funny. The tasting was really good and definitely recommend the extra pour for the extra $$$!

Hannah was our “sponsor” our 9am premium tasting and she set the bar high for our other tours that day. I found a great summer lemonade drink that I re-named “mom-juice”, and then I hung out at the little bar after with Hannah and tried some root beer floats and other tasty items . Highly recommend, this is a top notch facility for a larger distillery…we stuck to mostly small places during our tour this time and did a couple larger ones and this is the only larger one that I enjoyed because it gives you a welcoming small feel.

Tour started with a promo video, and then moved through various public display spots around campus (fermenters, cask fill, etc.). Everything felt very cold & sterile, but it’s a new distillery with newer components. Tour & tasting guide Justin did a great job explaining things on the tour, and also good knowledge about the products’ tasting notes of the whole line (not just ones we actually tasted). Tasting included a chocolate pairing for each whiskey. We also bought one premium pour to try. Recommended.

We stumbled upon this wonderful establishment during a recent trip to Bardstown KY. We had never been to a distillery and this was an excellent first stop. Upon arrival they said all of their tours were booked but Justin graciously invited us to make ourselves comfy and offered us a complimentary movie about the making of bourbon. After a few moments of looking around Justin found us and said he was able to make room for us in the next tour. We were shocked to learn that the tour with 4 bourbon tastings cost a mere$13.00 and offered us an upgrade for the tasting of an additional $13.00. What a delight we found in our guide whose name escapes me after the tasting! Suffice it to stay that we would highly recommend this family run business ! We had a wonderful experience!

A new distillery built from the ground up in recent years. You start with a short movie and then you get an inside look including the still that is very high. They do not bottle anything here, but none of the others show the bottling anyway. The tasting is done in a beautiful room and our guide gave a good presentation on each sample we tasted.

We enjoyed a most informative and excellent tour with Jennifer at Lux Row Distillers yesterday. We learned so much about how bourbon is made and we were encouraged to ask questions along the way. I loved the interactive parts of tasting the mash and washing our hands with the 'white dog'. Jennifer offered to take our pictures inside the Rickhouse which I thought was very accommodating. The tasting at the end of the tour was quite literally a treat since the bourbons are paired with chocolates. Overall, this was a very enriching experience. I highly recommend a tour with Jennifer at Lux Row Distillers!
