First of all, the venue is absolutely amazing. Takes a bit to get there, but it is definitely worth the drive. Such a beautiful place in a little, secluded area, perfect for a peaceful or romantic dining experience. The food was also very delicious and pair that with their wine, then you've got yourself a fantastic combo. What was absolutely... More

This is a wonderful venue to visit, especially at grape picking season. The enhancements to the dining area are superb, creating an excellent dining space, especially in good weather. Sadly this did not translate into a good dining experience. The service was extremely slow, with some patrons in the party getting their food after others had already finished, even though... More

Hi Doug Thank you for your review. Thank you for highlighting this, it's not always easy to get the best and enough waitrons to help us in the restaurant because of the distance from town, but we will do our best to sort out this problem. Hope to see you back soon! More

Off the beaten path. Nice wine tasting. The pizza was awesome, the wines good. The service was friendly. We really enjoyed it. Great views.

Turned up without knowing we should reserve a table. They were very busy but René assisted us with a temporary and later a table for 6. She was extremely friendly and helpful. New modern winery with a large variety of wine and a few craft beers available. Beautiful views of the mountains. Relaxed atmosphere. We had the cheese platter. Interesting... More

If you're in the mood for a treat, do yourself a favour and take a drive in the Herbertsdale direction and turn off at this slice of food and wine lovers paradise. We have been going to Jakkalsvlei for many years, and have never been disappointed. The hospitality, pizza, wine and views are out of this world. It has been... More

Wow, what a place. Service was phenomenal, the view was one of the best I've ever seen, but the knockout blow was the wine testing. Ive alwayse been a fan of Jakkalsvlei red wine, and now I can confirm that the cellar produces a complete series of exquisite wine , but what comes as a surprise is its surprisingly cheap!... More

Positives -amazing views from restaurant -beautiful architecture -good pizza Negatives -had to wait over 45min for food -their milkshakes are tiny -overcrowded (if you can't handle so many people, don't let them through the door)

Thank you so much for your review. We are fortunate that the problems we experience at Jakkalsvlei are 'good problems' and we are grateful for each and every person that visits our farm. Unfortunately it is difficult for us to cope with the large number of visitors we receive every peak season. Being over 50km from Mossel Bay we find... More

It would be an understatement to review with 5 stars. 10 would be a better example. Always great to visit Jakkalsvlei. The epitome of relaxation. The perfect place to take you family, friends and love ones anytime of the day. First things first. BOOK. In peak season you would be a fool to pitch and hope to get a seat... More
