Nothing glowing here, just a nice dog park

It's a dog park. It's big enough, well maintained and it's reasonably close to me. What more can I say?

We come to the Chapin Dog park almost weekly. It is actually a really large dog park and they have always taken good care of the grounds. There are special water fountains for the dogs (and ones higher-up for kids/adults). They have been keeping a kiddie pool in the large dog area. There are separate areas for large and small... More

Thanks to TripAdvisor, we found this park only 2 miles from our hotel as we passed through Wichita on our coast-to-coast roadtrip. What a great find! We had been on the road all day and our 40 pound pup really needed to get out some energy. He found multiple playmates with very attentive and friendly owners who made sure the... More

I took my small dog there for the first time the other day. It is roomy and fairly clean. My doggie was in heaven. There were nice dogs to play with and plenty of room to run. There is shade for the dogs and benches for the humans. The problem is that the grass was taller than my dog! We... More

This park is a large dog park divided into to two parks. One is for dogs under 25 lbs and the other is for dogs larger than 25 lbs. I have been to this park dozens of times with my own dog and he loves it. I throw him tennis balls to chase and he has a great time. He... More

A very good park. Lots of room and plenty of dogs. I think it only had two areas which makes tough on the huge dogs and medium size ones like ours but he had a good time. As empty nesters we always allow our dog to go with us. We travel over 10k miles by auto each summer coast to... More

I've been spoiled by the off leash parks in Kansas City. This park is ok; it is the owners that being their dog here that being it down. Hardly any of the dogs are well behaved. Another downside is that the place is never mowed.

If you have a little puppy they have a place fenced off for them. If your dog weighs over 25 pounds they must go to the "big dog" area. The problem is that many of those dogs are huge ( over 100 pounds) and some are quite aggressive and many of the dog owners don't seem to care if their... More

Very large area for big dogs with a plenty large section for small dogs and puppies. Drinking fountain for them. Lots of room to run for cooped up dogs !
