This was built from the ground up only a few years ago, but the seating leaves a lot to be desired. Unless of course you purchase premium seating. I think the engineers were going for quantity, not quality. The seats are scrunched together like sardines...More

I have attended hockey and football games here, plus several concerts. For sporting events, seating seems far less important. Feel free to go cheap and there's probably not really a bad spot in the house. For music, going low is very important. Years ago I...More

Second time for this. Wonderful seats in Section 114. Easy to find your seat and very few visual obstacles.

This is the newest venue in town to draw in the big name acts. However, if you don't buy premium seating, you are crammed like sardines into the "cheap seats." One time to see WWE, never again. I don't care how big the act, when...More

Went there this weekend for the Sugarland concert and was very impressed. Very clean arena and they had quite a few security personal which was really nice. Easy to find and we had floor seats which was awesome. Lots of parking around the stadium for...More

I have attended two events at Intrust and I was not comfortable at either one. The seats are very crowded with no leg room. I felt like I was sitting on top of the people in the row below me. It's too bad that they...More

I have difficulty being comfortable here because of the seating. They have the smallest event seats I've ever been in. The leg room to sit is non existent. My husband and I alternated who sat forward and who sat all the back. Neither of us...More

We come here several times a year for concerts and I have never been disappointed. I would warn people though that if you sit on the floor, which is on top of a skating rink, you might get cold.

As much as Wichita needed a big arena for big acts which they do pull in the problem is for bigger people such as myself you have to strategically when ordering tickets try to get a ticket within the first 10 rows because those are...More

concert (5 Replies)
We are coming to Wichita-driving from Amarillo to see a concert at the Intrust bank arena. Can you tell me of some nice hotels that would be close to this place and possibly some nice places to eat and any unique stores to shop at (no chains) thanks

The Hyatt Regency is a few blocks away on the river. My favorite Wichita restaurants include Strouds (family style fried chicken, pork chops & catfish), Thai Tradition Restaurant, B & C Barbeque (only open for lunch - in an old garage), and Bomber Burger (just a dive with great burgers and fresh cut fries).

Hello there, My hubby and I are heading to Wichita for a concert at Intrust Bank Arena. Is there a nice hotel within walking distance? Is that a safe area to walk in at night? Thanks so much!

Thanks patrickh, that's really cool. I haven't been downtown in a while and had no idea that building was being converted to a hotel. I'm going to make a point of driving by to check it out.
