About
Century II Performing Arts & Convention Center is a full service performing arts and convention center, providing citizens and visitors with a diverse selection of entertainment and meeting opportunities. The ensuing mission of Century II is to provide an economic benefit to Wichita through its use as a performing arts and convention center. The facility is owned and managed by the City of Wichita and is unique among other municipal facilities. This uniqueness is due to its dramatic architectural style, the nature of the business, the vast number of services provided, the diversity of clients, its importance to the downtown area, and the economic impact it has on the community. Century II strives to provide the highest quality of customer service that includes a clean and safe venue for private and public gatherings, encompassing the performing arts, conventions, trade shows, banquets, meetings, public exhibits, religious programs and special events.

We are lifelong Wichita residents and have been to too many Century II events to count in our great, iconic Convention Center. Recently we purchased tickets to see Guess Who on April 30. On April 22 we received an email from Select-A-Seat confirming our purchase with a link to access our tickets. Fortunately while going through older emails, I found an earlier email from Century II saying that the concert had been cancelled. I called a Century II representative to confirm it. Online and even on Facebook there was no notice of a cancellation. I sent an email to General Manager Chris Whitney asking the following: Why not send another email or two just to ensure people didn’t miss the one email message that was sent. Why not put out a media release with the hopes that at least one of the stations on TV or radio would give it a 5 second mention on air. I cannot imagine they wouldn’t… especially the radio stations. Why not include the cancellation on the Century II Facebook page and even other social media. We do go to several events per year at Century II, and I presume you want people to attend events there. I get that the promoters are the ones who cancelled but locally it should be the venue’s responsibility to make a good faith effort to let concern buyers know. I never heard back from GM Chris Whitney.

Large and clean. All outside parking is metered, so use the parking garage. Don't forget to pay for parking inside at the kiosks before you leave.

I don't know what else they do there but I've been to several concerts including recently a Christmas show with the Wichita Symphony Orchestra & also Joe Bonamassa, & in the old days Kansas & Marshall Tucker. Been to a few gun shows & a contract vote. I'm sure other things are going on there but these are the only things that have interested me.

My wife and I have seen several productions here, the latest being "Wicked " an absolutely brilliant show. Whilst we were able to see from our balcony seats we found them a bit far to see any specific details of the cast. Seats a bit closers next time I think. Will definitely be back.

The Concert Hall and Mary Jane Teall Theaters are very nice for productions! Seating is ample and comfortable, acoustics are wonderful!

Great location for our annual meeting. I wish our competition was closer to this location. I am never sure whether we have to pay at the parking meters.

We saw "Fiddler on the Roof" at the Performing Arts Center and were very impressed with the tremendous talent on display. The production was outstanding. If you can't get to Broadway, go to the Musical Theatre of Wichita!

Who designed this building? It is reminiscent of a Frank Lloyd Wright, but I know it’s not. Taliesin Architects? Or someone else?
