The zoo has animals in a clean and nurtured setting. There are places to picnic and eat for families. The museum is amazing in and of itself. With special activities on many days, there is often more to do than just seeing the animals and beautiful sky Kansas provides consistently. Bring the kids and have a great day!

This summer we attended all 3 of the Zoo Safaries. We had breakfast with the giraffes, the apes, and the big cats in May June and July. At these events you are served breakfast and the keepers of these particular animals explain how they care for them, etc. very interesting, the tickets were reasonable, and we will definitely want to... Beautiful place to visit, lots of animals, beautiful scenery, and lots of fun! There is a cafe and a tram if you wish to ride through the park. Or you can take your time and walk to the exhibits. There is also a museum which is fantastic and everything looks very real. There is also animation which is educational. There... More

This is a small zoo but the animals had spacious lodgings and areas to roam. I stopped early in the morning and everyone had been fed so they were out and viewable. They looked well cared for and healthy. Not every species but enough to keep children interested, there was plenty of walking area and enjoyable views. The park matched... More

There was both an outside zoo and a museum at Rolling Hills and both were excellent. The summer heat had most of the animals diving for shade, but that's typical of all zoos. The exhibit on frogs at the museum was a favorite for our grandkids.

The best small zoo we've ever been to! The animal exhibits are spacious and spread out, so there's a lot of walking if you want to see everything. I wish that we had brought the stroller for our toddler, but you can always rent one at the front gate. The kids loved the tunnel pop up viewing in the coati... More

I'm sorry, but this is one of the best "zoos" in Kansas. It may not be in a big city, but they have a ton of cool animals. The only animal I can't really think of is an Elephant. My kids love this place and it's very educational! When it starts getting too hot outside you can go into the... More
