The Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art is located on the campus of this Community College and is perhaps the finest contemporary art museum we have ever visited. The collection numbers close to 2000 pieces of art. Paintings, sculptures, installations , pottery, etc., etc, The museum has a cafe and gift shop in its modern two story building which I believe... Yardley Hall at Johnson County Community College is smaller than huge auditoriums for live music, but that's part of what it makes it so nice. The acoustics are good, the lighting is good, the seats are comfortable, and there isn't a bad seat. I've been on the floor in front of the stage, in the balconies, and in the box... More

Six of us attended the 2:00 matinee on 5-7 and we had such a fantastic time. We had great seats and shared so much laughter.

I have attended concerts, performances and innovative productions here and this year Blue Man group and Quixotic are favorites. The performances last year and scheduled for this year from the UK (Scottish, British Bobbies, Bag Pipers) and wonderful and appeal to adults and children alike. Free easy parking both surface and covered are available. The venue is open and beautifully... More

Attended Blue Man Group with family. Great seating and sound. Very easy to get to, near several major roads. Parking was no problem. The staff is wonderful! We had a handicapped person with us and they really took care of her. Long before the concert was to start they approached her to ask her seat location and if she needed... More

A friend of ours sings in a choral group and we went to hear them. Between 40 and 60 men and women were on stage singing, some new songs and some old favorites. They sounded great, not a bad seat in the house. HIGHLY recommend and this concert was free and also the parking was close and free. If you... More

This is a terrific venue for concerts. There really is not a bad seat. The acoustics are good, the setting is lovely, the parking is free and close. If you work for the college, there is a discount on the tickets, as well!

The Carlson Center at JCCC is cultural oasis in a heavily commercialized area of Overland Park. The center's annual schedule always includes a wide variety of cultural events from which to choose. We have been there a number of times and have never been disappointed.
