Must see Kansas city attraction for families

Every time someone with kids comes to Kansas city we go here. Get the wrist band it is well worth the cost for all the additional activities.

whether you are a local or visitor, this farmstead is amazing. Read the background on how this great idea came to be and then visit and enjoy the labor of love of all the volunteers at this special place. Bring quarters to buy food to feed the animals and a few dollars to feed the baby goats. Plenty to do,... More

Our family has adored this place for years! Free Monday through Thursday and only $2 per person Friday through Sunday and holidays. If you live in Kansas City and haven't been here with your kids you are missing out on a great deal and a great place to spend the day with your young children. Renamed in 1985 to honor... More

This is a must stop when visiting Overland Park or the surrounding areas. So much to do. We generally will stop for an hour just for something fun and simple to do. My kids know exactly what they want to do each time. The biggest bonus is that it is economical. AND, they do a great light show for the... More

If you are a grandparent(s), coming from out of town, this is an excellent venue to take those grandkids of yours. This attraction is slanted toward livestock farming and so is ideal for "older folks" to explain about what it was like when you were there age, and bond with them. You can take your time walking around and visit... More

This is a great local attraction. We enjoyed the price (free for admission) and the low additional costs for some activities. I love the diversity of the activities from hands- on like fishing and feeding the baby goats to more physical- riding pedal tractors and playing in the playgrounds. You can also get snacks in the general store. Love that... More

I recently became a grandmother and am relatively inexperienced with children as my daughter was adopted at an older age. I volunteered to take care of our 2 yr. old grandson for a week. I had no idea what I was going to do to keep him active, entertained while also being able to have him learn about things that... More

We have been here a few times and my daughter absolutely loves it. By varying the route, you can create a different experience each time. Don't forget to try fishing!

My husband and I have been a few times with our kids. We have a 7 year old son, 3 year old son, and a almost 2 year old son. They all enjoy it. Plus it is free during the week, so we enjoy it too. They have wagons there to use free of charge too. You get to look... More

This place has been around since I was a child (and before), so they're doing something right. This is such a neat place to get out for several hours, enjoy the outdoors, and pet a few animals. Besides the animals, they offer a few other things; nature trails and a place where you can clean rocks (kind of like you're... More
