While volunteering at Deanna Rose since 2001 the, and as, a Master Gardener with the County Extension office, I have seen thousands of young children and their families enjoy all this Farmstead has to offer. The Day Care and school trips add to the learning experience for these young people.

We visited Deanna Rose on the last day of our weekend trip for my grandsons 3rd birthday. I am thrilled to say that we definitely saved the best for last! I was so impressed with everything about this fabulous attraction and surprised I hadn't heard of it before researching children's attractions in KC! The place is beautiful and filled with... More

Took a group-adults and children 2 to 17 years old, and we all loved it. Beautiful. If you enjoy the outdoors, you will enjoy this. Will definitely return.

My wife and I have been taking our son here off and on since he was about 6 months old. It's cheap and a great way for us to get him out of the house somewhere that isn't a park! Definitely get there when they open. If you wait till mid day the place is a complete madhouse.

We visited this farmstead during a 2 day tour of Kansas City. If we lived here, we would become members! This was truly one of the highlights of our 3 week vacation! Because I had a dinner planned with a cousin we actually ran out of time & didn't get to see/do everything here. We could have definitely used that... More

If you have an animal lover, this is a great stop. There are feeding and touching spots as well as just animals to look at. There are plenty of swings and benches under shade.

My 12 year old son, mom and I visited during a weekday, and they were still busy! It was pretty fun. The buildings- school, church, bank, etc., were all pretty standard for a Kansas museum showcasing the old days of Kansas. The ice cream was tasty, general store neat. What we enjoyed the most was the horse drawn wagon hay... More

This is always a favorite spot to visit with any little ones in tow! Cannot say enough good things about the employees or the property. Spend an hour or the day. You will not be disappointed.

Really great place for kids and families! Lots to see and do. We really enjoyed the fishing, feeding the goats, the old time general store and exploring the train area. Educational and fun, plus you can't beat the price!

This place is a true gem. Lots of activities for the kids and also very educational for the whole family. Admission cost is so reasonable and the additional costs for other activities like fishing, horseback riding, or feeding of the animals is also quite fair. Easy to spend a few hours for sure.
