I went here with a boy scouts troop, and it is very nice. The area is no so large that you get bored, but it is enough to see.

We tried the Rocky Ridge trail for the first time at the Arboretum and loved it. The hike was almost 2 miles and took us from the bottom lands though the hardwood forest to the prairie ecosystem. I loved reading all the signs on the trees. I had no idea that Kansas has more then 5 types of oak trees.... More

This is an amazing place. You feel like you are far from any turmoil in the world. We have only been there twice with our dog and so our ramblings have been limited to the places dogs are allowed. However, we love the arboretum. The artwork as you wander is amazing.

Tuesdays are free. It was mice to wander through the garden. Most areas were wheelchair friendly so we were able to take my elderly mother.

This is a beautiful scenic nature walk. All the flowers and trees are so pretty. You can take beautiful family pictures there no matter what time of the year it is.

Beautifully arranged. So many flowers and trees to look at. Has lots of scenery that would be great for pictures! Beautiful paths to walk. Kids were excited about the Enchanted Fairy Trail. We saw deer one time along the path.

The dictionary defines an Arboretum as "a place where trees or shrubs are cultivated for their scientific or educational interest." I define the Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens as a piece of paradise that is ever changing. It is the most relaxing place to "get away" close to home. Whether you spend 10 minutes or hours, the paved walkways... More

This is a beautiful hidden gem in the Kansas City area. The landscaping is beautiful. There are several fun things for kids to engage in. Beautiful trails in the woods and also paved trails if you have a stroller, small children, etc. The train depot is a lot of fun. Entry fee is reasonable. 179th St. is right off 69... More
