The arboretum is a great place to hike for families. It is beautifully landscaped with a ton of flowers and a couple water features. Stay on the concrete and walk through the flowers or hit the trails for a hike thru the woods. Very nice!

This is a must visit park to visit. It is totally beautiful. They have an excellent park like setting with a lake. Waterfalls. Flowers. It's beautiful. They have trails that lead you through woods. Wildlife is frequently seen. Some trails are basic but some are a little harder to get your workout. They have water stations and maps throughout so... More

I enjoy taking pictures of flowers. I wish there were more flowers. It is really a forest with hiking trails with some flowers located near the start of the trails. If you are a hiker, this is the place for you. The gift shop left us wanting more.

My son and I love it here! Great walking paths around the ponds and gardens. Many different areas with lots off plants and sitting areas. Everything is labeled and has information to go along with it. Fun nature activities throughout! Nice cafe and gift shop on the inside too!

The gardens here are absolutely beautiful. You will find lots of ideas as you meander through various themed gardens via a very easy, walkable path. ADA accessible. a little known gem in the south KC Metro area.

The Arboretum in South Overland Park is well worth a stop. You can go on an easy walk looking at sculptures and gardens or pick up the pace and hike the hills and woods. On Thansgiving weekend they light up the gardens. There are Winter displays and carolers and hot apple cider. You can take your dog in with you... More

This is a lovely arboretum that continues to improve over time. The sculptures are so interesting and such a nice addition to the garden. This is a great place to hike. The trail winds around a creek and through the woods.

We are looking at the Arboretum as the venue for our daughter's wedding. It is a perfect spot for a wedding. The staff has also been incredibly helpful and friendly with ideas and resources. They have more options than I realized. A fall wedding with the leaves changing will be beautiful.
