We love to come here and walk. All trails are well maintained, even the forest trails. Dogs are allowed, which is fun, you've never seen so many happy dogs! There are turtles in a pond, babbling brooks, a train garden, and many other things to see. Even in winter, it's lovely, but we are looking forward to returning when the... More

We go seasonally and are never disappointed at the beauty of the grounds so well maintained by limited staff and a large retinue of volunteers of the gardens! Many events are held thru out the year and we never go without checking out various specialty displays scattered along the trails. I use a motorized chair and can traverse basically the... More

This garden is a beautiful place to enjoy nature. You can take a short walk on concrete paths or meander farther in woodland areas. The flowers bloom in all seasons, the lily pond is one of my favorites. I took my daughter and 10 year old granddaughter with me last season. We really enjoyed sharing the beauty together.

The Arboretum has well thought out feature and focus gardens (Monet Garden, Train Depot, etc.), as well as an extensive natural area around Wolf Creek and surrounding bluffs. But I want to point out the community programs. They have monthly evening walks for night sky and full moon admirers, and an excellent annual plant sale. My wife and I love... More

The Arboretum/Gardens is one of the most peaceful places un the Kansas City area. Housed in what used to be farmland it has a diversity of hiking paths, trails bushes and trees nestled in 300 acres. Its variety attracts all ages and sizes of families, business visitors, explorers and those just looking for a place to get away. Its telephone... More

No matter the time of year, the plants and flowers are gorgeous! The paths are well laid out and there are fun areas for the kids to play. Love going to wander around or just sit by the waterfall and read.

Have been going here for years, always take in the luminary walk during the holidays. Event very well prepped, nice scenery, areas to keep warm, refreshments, and even Santa Claus. Very nice.

One of my most favorite places on earth!!! The grounds are peaceful and awe inspiring. There are loads of walking trails, bird watching areas, and fish to feed.

A very unexpected, positive surprise...A treasury of trees in a delightful walking path setting. Can't see everything on one visit. Probably would require three visits with a nature center. $3 admission which should be more. Expert guides who conduct the tours. A well kept secret particularly if you don't know much about trees and have some interest to learn. An... More
