Daughter and Grandaughter

Was great my daughter and grandaughter loved it. It was a nice sunny day and she loved the monkeys. Birds, turtles she liked as well. A great staff and loved the gift shop.

This is a great zoo for the Manhattan area. It doesn't compare to the big zoo's but that's because it's not as big as them but they have a great location and lots of animals. If you have never been you should definitely go check it out! They also have a fantastic learning center and banquet area.

It is a small, but nicely done zoo. The animals all seem well cared for, and it probably doesn’t hurt that the K-State College of Veterinary Medicine is just down the road. Admission is currently $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children between the ages of 3 and 12. There is no fee for children younger than three, and there... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our Halloween outing at Sunset Zoo. What a gift to the Manhattan community this zoo is. We were visiting our military kids from Kentucky, but highly recommend this as one of your stops when you're in the area.

This is a great small zoo that has varied terrain and shady areas if sun and heat are a concern. It has a good selection of animals and is not too big for families with small children for an outing. Several of the exhibits have been updated to show off new animals from different elevations! Great small zoo!

Small town zoo that is continually improving. Several events through the year make for special visits. My kids loved it while little and still do as adults. Good variety of well cared for animals.

The walk through the zoo is quite nice. Plenty of enjoyment. I recommend good walking shoes and, if you have very little ones, a stroller is a good idea.

It doesn't cost much to get in and we found out why. Though it was an interesting way to kill a few hours it wasn't even close to the best zoo I've ever seen. The map was confusing and we didn't get to see half the animals they advertised because part of the zoo was closed off for renovating. To... More

Sunset Zoo gets 5 stars for what it is - a great place to get outside, see some animals and spend time with the kids. Just realize in advance that It isn't a big city zoo - it is is a zoo in a town of 50,000 people. As long as your expectations are realistic, you will enjoy a few... More

My family were members because not only do you get free unlimited access to this zoo, but it also gives you discounts to zoos all over the country. Our son loved it, and it was the perfect size to see all the animals in around two hours (which with a young child is perfect). The animals they have are easy... More
