A place of worship for over 140 years. Bethany College and Bethany Home were founded here. Communion is open to those who believe in Jesus Christ. Sunday worship at 8 and 10:30 AM. Also a fine reputation for music. ELCA. (Lutheran Church basement women may also be found here.)

Swedish emigrants organized the Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Bethany Church in 1869. Construction began at the present location soon after. The exterior edifice is small, but beautiful with an impressive 125 foot spire. The interior includes a large choir loft and pipe organ, sanctuary with large paintings and gorgeous stained glass windows. The hues used in the stain glass windows are... More

This church is absolutely beautiful! It looks like it was plucked straight out of Sweden. From the outside, the structure looks to be in immaculate condition. It was also cool seeing the Swedish flag flying.

This is a Swedish church in Lindsborg. It's beautiful inside and it was interesting to see the church my ancestors' cousins attended. There are also pieces of crafts made by Swedes in Lindsborg at the time.

This church has a beautifully carved alter. The pipe organ has been redesigned and is also gorgeous. The paintings and stained glass windows are truly works of art and labors of love.

Beatiful old church, white and gold inside with some blue touches. Many churches' decor is over the top, but this was tastefully elegant. A lovely spot to sit and reflect a while.

The Church was open on a Thursday Morning and we were happy to see the insides, which were far more ornate than we expected.

A church that remains open for quiet contemplation seven days a week. Finished in Swedish style in ivory and gold. A congregation that sings with the support of an excellent pipe organ. A community that co-ordinates events so that there are no conflicts. A congregation that makes one feel at home and wanting to return again and again.
