Great view of the Lindsborg and Smoky Valley River area from this WPA project overlook. The road isn’t paved, so can be a little rough, but not too bad.

We were told to go for the sunset and it was worth the drive down a dirt road to experience a Kansas sunset.

We love the old WPA projects and this one was very different. Great views from the top. Looked like they just graded the road to the top. Clean and quiet. Neat nooks with fireplaces for picnicking . All in all glad we made the trip...More

Took the kids and headed north for a daytrip... smooth drive there and it was a beautiful view from the top! Sad part was it was littered horribly in the castle and around the property !! Great place to take nature photos while visiting! Definitely...More

This was a great place to visit and very interesting. However, some of the stairs are hard to navigate and there seems to be a lot of broken glass. It is a great location for pictures.

Took our 6 year old granddaughter and she had a ball. Wind blowing really hard and her hair stood out straight. Picnic tables with views. Did have toilets but very rustic.

Really wondering if the locals are maintaining this. The complete lack of signage is disturbing, thank goodness for social media. The road is beyond wash board, washed out/rutted most of the way. Lack of grading at the top means there was a lot of water...More

Coronado Heights is quite literally a castle on a hill. It requires a drive up a narrow, winding dirt road. Be careful for oncoming traffic as there’s only one way up and one way down. The views from up top are very impressive. You can...More

First of all this is not a normal castle. This is just something for tourists and it is not a structure that was ever used as a living space. It is worth checking out just for the views of the skyline and the geological aspects....More

The castle is almost exactly 2 miles from Main street. From the turn off road it's maybe a half mile up. You could take an RV up the road. I'd recommend doing so on a dry day as their are runoff cutouts in the gravel.

We had a small rental car and easily got up to the top with 4 adults in the car. Just go slow and watch for people coming down from above. The castle is neat, and the sunset was wonderful.
