I did not expect much from this place, but my wife really wanted to visit it while on our road trip. The staff was incredibly polite and very friendly. The tour of the house was interesting but not too engaging. However, the land of Oz was very cool. Just realize that this is a DIY project that someone built, and... More

A huge surprise. We loved touring the historic home and museum. The tour of the Oz house and the actual reinactment of the movie tour was exceptional. The host staff really do a good job.

All that is open for the public now is the museum, the little pond by the yellow brick road doesn't have the fish anymore and everything looks really dated. :(

If you love the book, if you loved the movie, then you really should visit. Your guide will be informative, and you may feel you are one of the characters ( even if you are a grown up, whatever that is).

We were in Liberal and decided this would be a neat place to visit. The hours on the website state 9 am-5 pm Tuesday to Saturday, we arrived on a Tuesday at 10 am. Was so excited when we pulled up to a little white farmhouse, "yellow brick road", wood cutouts of the main characters, a tin man statue, tornado... More

Claim is to be what Dorothy's house would have been like. Actually a house donated by a local farmer. Exhibits are geared toward kids which is OK

We enjoyed looking through the old house and museum while waiting for our tour to start. It was early on a weekday morning and our tour guide was not dressed in Dorothy attire which probably would have helped a lot to set a more realistic tone for the tour overall. I thought Dorothy's house was quite cute. The tour of... More

We arrived after the actual museum closed, and wondered around the grounds. It was quite awesome. There is a Dorothy monument with names chiseled in the stone. This is a list of all women who have portrayed Dorothy at the house. A yellow brick road is there, as well as the nice characters of the movie.

We have watched wizard of oz several hundred times at my house. After spotting a billboard for Dorothy's House on a recent road trip, the excitement of the 8 year old in my backseat was almost too much. We arrived about 11am on a weekday to a very quiet museum. Waiting for the next tour (was there a tour in... More
