The Levee Trail is a nice place to walk and simply watch the river go by. You never know what you might see....eagles, herons, people kayaking. Very peaceful.

This is a great trail to either ride bike, walk or jog. It is peaceful and relaxing no matter whcih option you use. I have done them all. It is great workout and can do alone with a group.

The Levee Trail can be accessed right across the bridge to North Lawrence. It runs along the river going North and going East. It is unpaved, but easy to walk, jog or bike on. Every year there are 5K events on this trail. It is...More

This trail is located north of downtown and across the river. There is a flat, exposed portion which parallels the river and a more winding, shaded trail through the trees. Both are unpaved, low impact, and a quiet escape from the city.
