The restaurant choices are amazing. Watkins Museum is a great family adventure. Mass St. is especially beautiful at Christmas time.

I think Lawrence is considered the midwest. I can't think of a better place for a road trip than Lawrence. The downtown is Mass St and the nearby blocks. Plenty of restaurants and bars for entertainment. Don't miss Dusty Bookshelves or the movie theatre.

Mass Street is a great place to go with a girlfriend or partner and just spend the day enjoying shops and lunch. There are silly shops, local artists shops, furniturr and home decorating store, and high end clothing. A nice little department store, Weavers is...More

From living in Lawrence for years, the downtown area has grown more and more each year. Its a beautiful place for dinner or even an evening stroll. There's concerts on occasion and fun events frequently in the area. Great for all ages.

Not disappointed to show off this town to colleagues- they were taken with variety of shops, stores, bars, and restaurants. Historic, new, funky, and offbeat all together. Architecture has some gems (Egyptian Revival and Spanish Eclectic in particular). Only comment we have is Lawrence’s darkness,...More

Massachusetts Street and downtown Lawrence are places we avoid. There is very limited parking and the majority of the spaces are pay by the hour. Traffic crawls as people search for parking.

Mass Street to me is the main attraction and reason people come to Lawrence, outside of the University. I've been here several times and it is always a blast walking up one side and down the other visiting museums, trying local food, and stopping in...More

I’m from a little town next to Lawrence but I consider Lawrence to be a part of my home town. I have lots of wonderful memories of eating lunch on Mass Street and then walking around and window shopping and experiencing cool things and seeing...More

This is the hub of college life and locals alike in Lawrence. It's several blocks of specialty shopping, food, street performers, concert venues, and history that needs to be on your "must see, must do list" during a Lawrence visit. Parking is metered on the...More
