We visited on a weekday and enjoyed it. The sculpture has Lewis & Clark & Sacagawea & her baby, York, and a dog. It's up a a ridge overlooking the river. I believe there were picnic tables there.

Very interesting. Nice place for family outing and picnic. The metal reliefs of Lewis and Clark give the place a feeling of being there when they were exploring the Northwest Passage.

If you're interested in Lewis and Clark, this is worth stopping at and looking around. The views of downtown KC are pretty good, not spectacular. If you're not interested in L&C, this is a bit out of the way...

We parked near the Lewis & Clark monument and enjoyed the views of the area from there. We then walked around the park but didn't like the amount of homeless people there which created an edgy atmosphere.
