It was a nice place to visit but way over priced. Our room was right next to the covered parking for check in, loading and unloading luggage. Although we had a patio we could not at anytime open the curtains because of the proximity to parking and people constantly walking by. So it was dark in our room the entire visit with no daylight. Plus if we did open the curtains to the patio everyone could see every little we did and what was in our room. The room was missing the hairdryer as well but that wasn’t a big deal.
We participated in the MagiQuest but they wouldn’t give you the booklet with the instructions because they didn’t have enough. They wanted you to scan a QR code on your cell for instructions. If you wished to by a different end on your wand (more decorative) you could except….they were out of most of them.
We went to Buckhorn to pick out some 25th anniversary souvenirs (we brought our kids here when they were little now this time we got to bring our grandson) but guess what??? Yes, they were out of most everything for anniversary souvenirs.
We went across the way to the coffee/bakery store for coffee and frappes. And again….the coffee machine was broke so no coffee or frappes.
Oh I think I forgot to mention check in starts at 4pm but your room may not be ready all the way till 5pm. So if you unload your luggage and bring it in thinking you can put your stuff in your room at 4pm you could be wrong. We had to wait in the foyer with all our belongings until our room was ready at 4:20pm, hey at least it wasn’t 5pm. That was a plus.
The room had ample space because there was only 4 us in a bigger themed room. Our fault for not booking earlier than 1.5 weeks ahead of time.
We went to the indoor waterpark and had fun except they were out of towels, the same thing for the next day.

The positives, our 5 year old grandson was none the wiser to the adult “issues” and had an incredible time. The young man in the candy shop was so very nice, helpful and fun. He’s a great employee for them to have!
We got goggles in the swim shop. The youth size turned out to be too small so we asked to exchange them even though the policy says no, the lady working in there was fabulous and helped us out! Keep her too!
All in all the employees were nice, some going above their duties.
Oh, we would have liked to have had our room cleaned during our stay but they said there was no one to clean it.
Overall, it was a fun trip and the 5 year old enjoyed it just a bit pricey.

We stayed at the beginning of the month and it was a slower time but it made it perfect for the water park. The food was disappointing, pricy for the taste and options. So happy that there are plenty of options close by that we could run down the street for food and head back to the resort. The room was nice only downside was it smelled like wet dog. We got used the smell that it didn’t effect the stay. The carpet floors near the elevators on the 3rd and 4th floor and going towards the magic quest are starting to tear and my senior mom thankfully caught herself before tripping and falling. The staff said they know but made not effort to tape it down or fix it. My 8 year old had so much fun and now wants to do her birthday party there. Wish one was closer to home, so her friends could join.

We had a 15 minute wait approx. To check in, got to our room and the door was open with a sheet to keep it from locking, filled with used towels and garbage. Went back down, waited a few hours to get a new room once checked back in. Had to then pay $13 for a locker in waterpark that was tiny to hold our clothes/shoes/wallets after taking luggage back to car. Locker then jammed trapping our stuff. Once we got into new room, large clean but pretty outdated. Mold in bathroom corner by door. So this was our first indoor activity- we wore our masks but were just about it in the waterpark as adults. I get that young kids may not but adults in lounge chairs should be. Staff was masked. Adult guests not distancing. Lesson learned as I did not feel safe in the waterpark. Restaurant was overpriced with small drinks but very large portions, food was ok. Our kids loved the waterpark though. Staff was very polite though. We had very little noise which was surprising given the number of kids surrounding us.

It’s a cool place but the water park was only half opened. The outdoor pool was closed. Our waiter in the restaurant was awesome but the food was ok definitely not worth the amount of money it cost us. We ordered pizza the second night and got drinks and garlic bread with our pizza never got it called down they brought the garlic bread down to us but said they didn’t have any proof we bought drink even though I had a receipt emailed to me saying otherwise. As much money as it is to go here just make sure everything is open before hand.
They put us right next to the construction site they had going on which was fine but they need to make sure they clean up after. My daughter stepped on a nail walking out of the door and I also got a nail in my tire.

While my children didn't seem to mind because they were distracted with all the amusements, the place is absolutely filthy. The carpets are so bad that if you walk barefoot in your room they will stick to the carpet anywhere you step. The place didn't seem like it had been cleaned other than maybe a quick vacuum. The place needs a complete wall to wall renovation. We will no be coming back until we learn of a complete overhaul. You will have fun while there but as an adult you will be constantly reminded of how gross the place is. Chuck E Cheese is probably cleaner, maybe even a McDonalds ball pit.

Our family visited the Great Wolf Lodge for our son's birthday and over the Christmas holiday!! Overall the stay was amazing. The fireplace in the suite was our favorite. We did notice a few issues in the bathroom; the tub was not level, the ceiling was peeling and the baseboards near the tub had detached from the wall. Other than those things the room was great!!! The Health and Safety protocols the lodge had in place were phenomenal and overall our family felt very safe!!

We did not agree with the Room Transient Guest tax applied each night of our stay. This tax does not appear to be an additional tax that should have been imposed on our family. Reviewing the tax description on the Kansas Dept. of Revenue website the tax should be applied when there are more than two bedrooms furnished for the accommodations of guests and when the room is rented for 28 consecutive days or less. Our KidCabin suite did not have more than two bedrooms. Aside from these things our choice to stay at the Great Wolf Lodge was a great one and our family enjoyed everyone minute!!

Over priced! Over rated. My kids are elementary age, they have always wanted to go to Great Wolfe Lodge. We planned one day for shopping and one for the waterpark. The waterpark was so boring. The lazy river was closed, and two of the water slides were closed also. Very disappointing.

If you’re thinking what I was thinking and that’s that you won’t enjoy this place as an adult YOU ARE WRONG! We had such a good time that I can’t wait to go back and can’t believe we haven’t been before! The staff is exactly how I would want my staff to be if I owned this hotel. Clean! Fun! Chill! Plan your trip now. You will not regret it! 5 gold stars for the staff at the Great Wolf Lodge!

Took the family for a spring break getaway to the Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City. First, I must say that a stay here will be comparable in price to an equivalent getaway to Disney, but will far well short of of the experience.

The water park is wonderful and kept the girls busy all day and into the evening while my wife and I could relax and enjoy a spa/massage without the worry of keeping the kids entertained. We were very disappointed to find that two of the five water slides were not operating. With the water park being the main attraction this was a big deal, and it contributed to longer than usual lines for the remaining operation slides.

The food and drinks are uber expensive, as would be expected at a vacation resort. The quality was mediocre. The pizza/Italian carry-out looked pretty good and also appeared to be the best value, but we noticed this after we had already dined in the restaurant.

The room was dirty. Hair and dirt in the corners in the bathroom. It also appeared that it had not been dusted since the establishment opened. With the exception of the obvious flat surfaces (counters, dresser, tables, etc.), they were covered with a thick layer of dust. The sleeper sofa mattress was in dire need of replacement. I don't expect a luxury mattress in a sofa sleeper, but this was a bag with springs, and springs jabbed me all night.

One of the most interesting criticisms might be the staff. They ranged from super nice and friendly to appearing to not want to have anything to do with anybody. There seemed to be a portion of disgruntled employees.

We don't often go on the extravagant vacation, but when we do we expect the facilities and services to match the price tag. Some might find it unfair to compare anything to the quality one mitt find at a Disney resort, but if the price tag is comparable, then I do expect the quality to be comparable as well. Great Wold is opening a lodge in our area soon. We will likely give the new venue a shot as the resort model is amazing.
