Nice local site

I thought this was a nice local attraction. Had park benches to sit and enjoy. Nice country view behind the painting makes for nice photos.

Neat thing to see from the highway or you can drive down to it. Drove by several times never saw it up close. Talked about driving by after we ate in town. Plugged in adress in Google maps. My wife was driving Google made 2 or 3 directions before we left the parking lot. She said shut that thing up... More

We stayed in Goodland for one night while traveling from Missouri to Colorado. We didn't see much of anything interesting to take a picture with so we drove the few miles to see the giant Van Gogh replica, afterall, Kansas is the Sunflower state! I think this location would be greatly improved if they had real sunflowers growing here too.... More

We were stopping in Edson with our horse at a local horse hotel. While we were chatting with our host regarding local eateries, he kept referring to the "Van Gogh". Of course, we just nodded like we knew what he was referring to. On our way into Goodlands for meal at Crazy Rs, we saw the massive structure. Certainly easy... More

I do like cheesy, roadside kitsch especially when it's not too far off my route. I found this one by visiting the Roadside America website which is filled with cheesy stops, We were in Kansas where, lets face it, there's not a lot to do along that stretch of highway and Goodland was a good place to take a break.... Yes, it is a big van Gogh painting. A bit surreal. There is a geocache nearby and quite a few in this small town.

Loved this artwork, excellent work by a great artist, Cameron Cross. It's huge and worthy of a stop here. The only thing missing is an enormous Van Gogh ear replica lying in the field near the painting.

I must confess I'm a bit of a nerd for odd roadside attractions so this was right up my alley. It's just a couple of minutes off the Interstate and it's free so there is no harm in the stop. And when you consider the monotony of the drive across Kansas and Eastern Colorado this is a welcome distraction. It's... More

Probably not worth more than 10 minutes of your time. If you need a break to wake up or stretch you have a free place to park and something unique to look at.

It's a good reason to get out and stretch your legs. There is gas at each Goodland exit and a nice parking area at the easel.
