Three miles east of Worcester surrounded by glorious countryside and deer park lays one of Britain’s best-kept secrets. Spetchley is a garden for all tastes containing one of the biggest private collections of plant varieties outside the major botanical gardens. Spetchley is not a formal paradise of neatly manicured lawns or beds but rather a wondrous display of plants, shrubs and trees woven into a garden of many rooms and vistas. It is certainly an ever changing garden and one undergoing many changes. The Revival Project is in its infancy; a ten year project aimed at reviving Spetchley's wonderful legacy. Please follow us to see how we get on and come and visit to view this wonderful garden and watch its transformation.

Just returned from a visit to Spetchley Park Gardens. The park is attractive and a pleasant way to spend time strolling around. However, any member of the NT will have seen similar if not better. The gardens were such a disappointment and sadly not well maintained. We thought that we would be visiting a garden of the standard of Hidcote... More

We were glamping near by so went to the re-enactment on Saturday. The gardens have such huge potential but a huge injection of cash is needed to bring them up to standard. I would love to have seen them in their 'hay day'. I would have been very disappointed to have paid £20 for a family to enter if we... More

Thank you for your feedback and I am so pleased you enjoyed the re-enactment. The gardens are very much a work in progress and our Hey Day is yet to come. We are beginning the Revival Project and have just finished phase 1 with several more phases to go. As a charity we do have limited resources and do rely... More

We attended the M5 Historical Re-enactment Show at Spetchley Park on 14 August 2016. This was the first time we attended M5, and will probably be the last. Sadly, the day was spoilt due to the fields being completely unsuitable for disabled, and impossible to use wheelchairs or mobility scooters. We missed seeing much of the displays due to not... Went here today with our two granddaughters and had a great time the gardens are wonderful and the staff were so helpful and friendly the granddaughters had a great time looking for the fairy doors and pixies. So much to see and do spend most of the day there . The only problem was we could go in the cafe... More

Thank you so much for your feedback and how wonderful to hear you all enjoyed your day. The Reuben trail is a great activity for the old and young alike. It is a very imaginative idea that one of our admission ladies came up with, designing and building it herself. We will look to expand it for next year so... More

Thank you for your feedback and I am pleased you found Spetchley a relaxing place to be. I am sorry about the Deer Park. It is closed as the hinds and Does are dropping their calves and Fawns at present and therefore we feel that any disturbance would not be conducive to the health of the young or nerves of... More

We recently visited Spetcley Park Gardens with a group of approximately 30 people. The gardens are lovely and well worth a visit but the cafe experience was bad. We were asked to pre-order our lunches in order to save time queueing, which we all did, giving the individual times we would be at the cafe. Two of us arrived at 1pm... More

Thank you very much for your feedback. Whilst I am overjoyed that you found the garden to be a lovely day out I am sorry to hear of your bad experience in the Tea Room. We are indeed investigating this with the company. We have set out rules for how groups should be given the best service but these have... More

This is beautiful garden, particularly on a summers day. There are over 30 acres to walk around and a great mixture of informal and formal. It was suffering a little form the heat when we visited. I guess it would be great to visit in late May or early June too. The tea rooms are fantastic and serve excellent cake... More

What a delightful place to visit. The gardens are stunning with superb planting, beautiful vistas, interesting corners, ponds, lakes, sweeping lawns and a picturesque mansion house with a fascinating history. With entry at £6.50 concession or £7 adult ticket, it's easy to while away a couple of hours in such lovely surroundings. The audio guide was free and informative and... More

My wife and I found this a delightful place to visit on a fine summer day, several hours of relaxed pleasure. The mixed bag of reviews in this column is understandable, perhaps. Stourhead this is not, but neither does it hit you with Stourhead admission prices! If you are looking for immaculate, don’t come. This is clearly a work in... More

Thank you for your review. It really does help to hear feedback that sums up how we, ourselves, view Spetchley. It is a wonderful place to come and relax. It is a wonderful place to see some huge species collections. It is a wonderful place to see some of the more rare plants. It is also a very special place... More
