Did the 4D/3N through Expoturs with my girlfriend and had a really good experience. The hiking part was the highlight for us as the path itself felt like an adventure. The Lost City is also really nice with great views and since you cannot get to the place by bus/train/car it's in no way crowded. Organization was good with proper... More

Expotur: Because of the hurricane Matthew I had to wait some days in Santa Marta before I could start the hike to the lost city. During this time the communication with Expotur was perfect - they informed me every day of the current status and the expected day of departure. Additionally they picked me up at hostel which was more... More

Absolutely incredible experience! Our tour guide, Ariel, was UNBELIEVABLE - he saved our lives and truly was SUPERMAN. Despite the rain and weather conditions, it was still the most memorable experience of my life and the company made sure to guarantee that. I learned so much not only about Colombia and its indigenous cultures, but about myself and what we're... More

Th Expotur to the CiudadPerdida with Ariel Callego as guide was exhausting, but worth it!! Wonderful and breathtaking nature during the entire trek an at the end of the day it was always nice and cosy, good and enough food and good accomodation. The guide leads through the jungle and provides you with interesting information about the jungle and its... More

My daughters and I did the trek to the Lost City with Expotur's guide Jose. It was a tough few days but worth it. As Northern Europeans the worst part for us was the heat and humidity and it took time to get accustomed to the conditions. I had thought I was pretty fit (particularly for someone of my age... The expotour with Antonio Higuita as a guide has been the highlight of our trip to Colombia. Antonio knows the paths as his pockets and makes it light and enjoyable. He is also very familiar with the ancient and the modern history of the region, the nature, as well as the culture of the natives living there (which he documented),... More

Read a lot of daunting reviews about the trek so thought it was going to be one of those experiences I hated but looked back on and appreciated....however I LOVED the whole thing! Everything including the city exceeded expectations. Alot of people say it's about the journey but I feel even the city and indigenous culture/history were just as amazing... More

We've just returned from our trip to The Lost City with Expotur and it really has been the highlight of our trip so far! This is a proper adventure (unlike some other very commercialized treks) with some challenging walks each day given the terrain and heat - but still very manageable for most people. Our guide, Camacho, ("Macho Man") was... More
