The entrance road to Clark Tower is in the city park. It’s a one way gravel road. It surprised us that it went up/ down hills and was very wooded. The tower is made of rocks and you can take the stairs on the outside...More

Very rough road going to and from. View is beautiful from the top. Steep ladder and steps to go up would be hard with small children. Free

Enjoyed fall colors while driving to tower. Hiking is option. The trees around the tower are getting quite tall and are starting to block the view from the top of the tower. The whole park is a good place to spend an afternoon.

Great little site to see. It was a pretty rocky climb would suggest driving for those that may even begin to question walking from the parking lot. The Tower is beautifully constructed of stone. We climbed to the top and took a couple pictures.

What a treat this park and tower are! A curvy drive to the top and a very good view. I just wish the leaves had been turning! Kids that were there seemed to like the "castle" like appearance.

Clark tower is a small memorial tower dedicated to early pioneers of the Winterset area. The views atop the tower are nice, but it's the hike that is truly fun. Lots of up and down, but not very long (a mile or so into the...More

I would not recommend biking. It is very windy, narrow, and rough terrain.

Sure I wouldn't see a problem it is in an open area and no one is really around.
