About
The Iowa 80 Trucking Museum was a dream of Iowa 80 Truckstop founder Bill Moon. His love for trucks and the trucking industry laid the foundation for this museum. Over 100 vintage trucks are on display, as well as antique signs and gas pumps. The museum also features the REO Theatre where visitors can enjoy watching films about trucks and trucking.

Recently retired we went on a month long driving and site seeing vacation to the west coast and stopped here on our way back to Indiana. We were surprised to see all the equipment and trucks, what a awesome display of history in such a clean and well taken care of building. Would highly recommend to everyone visiting your museum. Thank you.

Nostalgia at it's best. A must see when stopping at Iowa 80 truck stop. Trucks range from 1910's - current times. Entry is free but recommend you donate to keep this gem alive.

    Incredible museum
A truck stop is a truck stop. Even if it's the world's largest. However, the museum was very entertaining. I walked around with my wife on video call so that she could enjoy the history of the older vehicles with me. I would gladly revisit if time and circumstances allow.
Thanks for your nice review! We are glad you enjoyed the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum and hope you will bring your wife back in person so she can enjoy the trucks as well. Come back and see us!

    A very cool trucking museum
If you are traveling west on I 80 this is a must stop. This museum is awesome, trucks from the early 1900's to the 1970's, vintage original signs. There are about a 100 or so trucks and signs. Even model die-cast trucks, metal and plastic. Oh yeah on the way out in the gift shop they have 6oz bottles of ice cold coke cola. Next time I'm traveling that way I'll be sure to stop in again.
Hi Jerry, Thank you for visiting the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum and for writing a nice review about our facility! We are glad you stopped in to see us and enjoyed the museum. We definitely have a lot to see! Stop in and see us again soon.

A "Must See" The History and Information is Overwhelming for the mind, in a good way.
The Iowa 80 Truck Stop was great on it's own. Visiting the museam just added that WOW factor to the whole day! The place was spotlessly clean and the staff was very kind. The trucks displayed went back to the beginning of heavy duty hauling. There are old gas pumps and other related items that I never knew existed. The admission is free but of course we left a donations to help with opporating costs.
Thank you for visiting, donating, and leaving a nice review, Beth! We appreciate your kind words about our facilities and our staff. We hope you will come back to visit us in the future. Thank you!

    Unique Americana
Planned a trip to the Quad Cities. Had no idea this was nearby until I researched things to do in the area. It is a must-stop for historians and truck enthusiasts of all ages. A real look back at Americana and the history of transportation. Can view it at your own pace and has many photo opportunities.
Hi Bryan, thank you for your kind review about the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum. We are glad that you enjoyed your visit. Come back and see us again soon!

A great collection of vintage trucks!
This was an amazing collection of trucks! There were trucks from the early 1900’s up to mid 80’s. This museum was mostly work trucks, and trailer trucks. Most were fully restored. Also a great opportunity to stretch your legs for a bit! Worth the stop!
Thanks for visiting us and leaving such a nice review, Theresa! We aim to have a little something for everyone to enjoy, even if it's just an air-conditioned walk during your road trip! We're glad you stopped and enjoyed the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum. Come back again soon!

    History behind the wheel.
As a professional driver for more years than I care to admit, I have a love for all things truck. This museum really shows the development of the industry from beginning to today. And gave my wife a new understanding of how lucky I have it to drive the modern Riggs I pilot every day.
Thanks for visiting the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum! We are glad you were able to share your visit with family, we hope you both were able to learn something new and appreciate the modern comforts of todays trucks. Thanks for leaving a nice review for our museum, come back and see us again soon!

    Visiting Iowa 80 Trucking Museum
Good trip. We arrived at approximately 4 pm and made our way inside the museum. Admission into the museum was free, which is always a plus. The museum was quite large, and contained several dozen trucks out for display. In front of each truck was an informational plaque, that provided information on the truck that we were seeing in front of us. There was also a small documentary playing on repeat in their theatre room, that gave us a first hand perspective on what it was like to be a trucker. Tip: I recommend spending an hour here if you truly want to see everything.
Thank you for reviewing the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum! We are glad you had a nice visit and enjoyed the theater. Come back and visit us again soon!

This is no tourist trap, the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum is a first class transportation museum with a large collection of some of the nicest antique trucks I have even seen.

So if you are travelling plan for lunch at Iowa 80 World's Largest Truck Stop next door, then cruise across the parking lot to stop at the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum. Browse for free, but well worth giving a donation for the visit.

The trucking museum is awesome! The work that’s been done to make some of these trucks like new again is astounding, and many are works in progress, interesting on their own. With the history, information and mechanical displays, you could easily spend the better part of a day here. Not a disappointment, and I’ve visited several times.

Stop in the museum to see some of the coolest trucks/big rigs that drove the roads at one time. We stopped at the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum. The Museum has a vast assortment of very nicely restored Trucks and Trailers. Admission is free and parking is free (They do have a spot for donations). They have a gift shop and Coke in glass bottles (Always a treat). The staff is very friendly and the collection is nicely organized. You can park at the truck stop and walk over, there is also a parking lot by the front door. Take you time and enjoy the collection.

First time there and I have lived in Iowa most of my life. My family and I went there as a school trip and we enjoyed it a lot. My daughter loved learning about the trucks and even pretended to be handcuffed in front of the armored car! It was clean, peaceful, and very well maintained.

This is a comprehensive collection of American trucking history. This museum has examples dating back to some of the first freight trucks. there are also trucks from all of the milestone trucking changes with examples from all the decades nearly to current day. This museum is a must see - even for those just casually interested in American trucking

We really enjoyed our time at aThe I-80 Truck Museum. We were just blown away by the sheer number of trucks. We were enjoyed the signs in front on each truck that told what the year, make model of each truck and the history about how the museum obtained that truck. Given the sheer size of the museum, we also were quite grateful for the benches spaced throughout the museum. Thanks!

It felt like a walk through history to see the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum's vast collection of trucks and trucking memorabilia. Before walking into this great museum, I never could've imagined the beauty, elegance, absurdity, and diversity contained within these walls. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the half-hour that we had at the museum, but could have easily stayed for hours. This fantastic facility and extensive collection of trucks would fit right in at the Smithsonian, reminding me of the Air and Space Museum in DC. The Iowa 80 Trucking Museum is truly a hidden gem.
