Whether in the warmer months or in the snow, Fern Tree is a great place to access the bushland around the Mountain. There is a quaint old Federation-style church and a pub for a refreshing beverage on the way home.

You can catch the Hobart public transport to Fern Tree and then do some hiking on Mt Wellington. At Fern Tree there is a quaint church, that was spared from bush fires, and a pub to refresh yourself after a hike.

At the bottom of the climb up to mount Wellington and on the outskirts of Hobart. It's scenic and a great place to stay.

I can see why this place has been open for so long- the location is great! Large trees everywhere, closest place to warm your hands around a mug after playing in the snow. I have been here only twice so my review isn't as balanced...More
