Jimmy Buffett style on the Mighty Mo. Park your boat and enjoy a little ambiance and nightlife right on the river. Loved it!!!

When we saw this little riverfront joint it looked like a great option for a drink and a bite to eat. The experience was not as fun and piratey as one might hope for. The building is located alongside the Missouri River and near a boat docking area. It looks like someone thought about making a permanent bar structure and then enclosed it with storm doors that were on clearance or had been torn out of a demolition project. Having said that, the ambiance wouldn't have been bad and reminded me of a number of Florida dive bars so I "get" that feel. I noticed that most of the folks at the Jolly Roger were old farts -- and being one I take a little license in calling other ones out. The young server at the restaurant that suggested we check out Jolly Rogers made me think the crowd might be a bit younger... Okay, there were younger people there and they were all clumped tightly around an outdoor fire pit -- it was such a tightly packed group that it actually made me laugh. (Sorry if any of you are reading this and felt put out by my laughter.) Perhaps I was missing something that is more evident as the season progresses, but at this point I wouldn't bother walking down to stop in again.
