This is another part of the multi-part attraction, including the old boat the Sgt Floyd. Several displays depict pioneer explorers life and area history. The whole park is worth a stop for any history buff.

Stopped here because I have been reading about the Oregon trail and wanted to know more about this expedition. Found some of the information on the participants interesting but a lot of it was about Sgt Floyd who died and is buried in Sioux City. Could also have better explained the Louisiana purchase.

Traveling cross country with our grandson and we were seeking some interesting places to visit. This is a real treasure trove of information about a very important historical event -- the Lewis & Clark Expedition. We loved it.

This Center was located just down the street from our hotel. It is a very attractive place from the outside, with the art, statues and the building itself is intriguing. Inside there are many interpretive and hands-on displays that bring together the story of Lewis and Clark while they were travelling through the Sioux City area. Certainly a great free... More

Extremely interactive museum! My kids (age 5-10) really enjoyed all the hands-on activities. Very kid-friendly exhibits. Lots of great info, but small enough to make a quick visit if necessary. Friendly staff and beautiful grounds as well. Highly recommend!

Construction of long standing blocks vehicles from accessing the center. You can rude round and around attempting to navigate entry to no avail. After all our effort, we learned the Center is not open today.

My husband was never viewed this before, so it was a must visit since we stayed at the hotel just down the street. The three different levels are awesome to view. The stairs are narrow and steep, but they do have an elevator for people with disabilities. It was cool to see all of the artifacts and journal entrys of... More
