Very nice grounds and buildings located along the SC river walk. Extremely friendly and helpful staff provided useful information and answered all our questions. Wonderful place to brush up on L&C history!

If your passing thru Sioux City this is worth a stop. Right on the banks of the Missouri it’s a beautiful setting. A 15 minute video is worth watching. The animatronics were well done. Exhibits focus on the Sioux area of the expedition.

Worth a stop. No groups coming during Covid time, I heard they only get a few dozen guests a day, a shame for such a nice attraction.

This Lewis and Clark exhibit is good for both adults and children. Lots of history with details not found in other locations. Complete list of participants in the Lewis and Clark trip with short info of each. Animatronics explain different aspects including President Jefferson giving his direction to the expedition leaders. Much more here than in the history books. If you are trying to learn more about this piece of American history, this provides lots of good info. Don’t drive by this one.

This is really two or three museums in one. The story of the Lewis and Clark Expedition is well told and the museum is right on the original route. There is also a room dedicated to veterans. The Adjacent Encounter Center offers art and photography exhibits. There is also an auditorium featuring free live entertainment. Check out their website
