Tourist Attraction at Rose Blanche, NL, Canada. Granite lighthouse originally built in 1871 and restored in 1999. Situated on a well developed site with free parking, a takeout food kiosk, a well stocked crafts store and The Lightkeepers Inn B&B. The site is 45 kms from the ferry terminal in Port Aux Basques, NL at the end of Route 470, a very scenic drive along the southwest coast of NL.

This is a lovely lighthouse at the end of a stunningly scenic drive from Port aux Basques. It has been well-restored and I would not miss this one!

We got out here in the nick of time at sunset, and the photos we have are stunning! The entire drive out there from Port aux Basques is filled with stunning scenery, waterfalls and photo ops!

What makes this lighthouse so different is that it is made from the granite rock surrounding the lighthouse. There is a guide that will take you up as you have to walk a rocky path to the lighthouse. You can also go upstairs to see...More

The incredible accomplishment by a town of 600 people to restore this iconic building. Well worth the visit and don't forget to eat at the Grub Box!

We regret that your visit to the historic Lighthouse was not as enjoyable as it is for most visitors. The $6 admission fee is not just to walk the trails. It includes an interpretive tour of the lighthouse and adjacent Lightkeeper's living quarters by a...More
