When we arrived, the river valley was shrouded in fog, which, in itself, was a magical experience. After a hike of an hour or two, we returned to the lookout to find a perfectly clear view of the delta of the Wisconsin River, the Mississippi...More

Second half of the drive up the mountain had some pretty tight curves. Steeper incline than expected. The view from the top is absolutely worth the drive up! Gorgeous!

This is a really nice FREE park that we were able to explore, Lots of climbing steep trails, watch for roots and rocks along the way. We enjoyed the bridal veil trail, this one isn't too long, about 1.5 miles. Bug spray recommended. Beautiful views!

The view of the Mississippi River is commanding and beautiful from the overlook. The walking trails are well-kept and beautiful.

This is a state park that I grew up with and am always happy to return to. Not a ton of amenities, but a great day trip all the same. It’s a beautiful drive up through McGregor and the Mississippi below. Once in the park,...More

Great views of the Mississippi River and a nice hike to bridal veil falls. 249 stairs on that path so just be prepared. ;).

We were walking through there a week after. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Downed trees but the walkways were cleaned up.

of course you can drive to pikes peak, there is no "hiking" to get to the overlook, more of a 2 minute walk from the parking lot to the overlook.
