I planned a surprise trip to Mason City for my wife's birthday. She is not a fan of musicals and has never seen "The Music Man". I put this in so that people will uncerstand that you do not even have to know the movie...More

We really wanted to see this but they were doing road work and the detours kept us away. Also there are no signs to pinpoint this place so even with the gps adress we still couldn't find it. disappointing.

Music Man Square is a beautiful and informative tribute to America’s musical genius. The tour of Willson’s childhood home is magical. This is great fun.

This complex houses Meredith Willson’s boyhood home, a visitor center with a gift shop, restrooms, museum and streetscape from the movie The Music Man. You get to see most of the rooms in the home on all three floors. While I don’t’ think a lot...More

Enjoyed reminiscing as we walked down the street, then through the displays. Ice cream is available from period shop, but had just eaten. Be sure to catch film of stars remembering their time spent working on movie.

The docents really know their facts and are very proud of the Wilson family . A nice museum, maybe skip the house tour at the end but the film with Shirley Jones was excellent

Even though I loved The Music Man and The Unsinkable Molly Brown, this place is running on fumes. Even my charitable companion found this place very disappointing. The 20-30 yard street scape, recreating scenes from TMM, isn't free to see as two docents made perfectly...More

Ok....so I have never seen the play or movie but this stop was certainly worth it. We had a very busy and interesting docent. So interesting...can't wait to see the movie!
