My brother and I were driving through the area and decided to stop at tassel ridge. We had never heard of it or tried there wine. The staff was awesome!! They were very friendly and helped us decide on some great bottles!! My brother and I each bought two bottles really truly because of the staff helping us to decide. Keep up the great work!…

We've been there many times for wine, just have never eaten there. So, when my husband read earlier this week that they were serving calzones today... I quickly said we were going. I love calzones and haven't found a good one since moving to Central Iowa 11 years ago. I was somewhat dismayed to realize their calzones were not what I'd expected, but I was intrigued with the arugula, pine nut, prosciutto, & parmesan calzone with a balsamic reduction. We were looking for something different than holiday food. No more casseroles and ham. A family member recommended the Tassel Ridge winery. We checked out the website and read wood fired pizza and wine tasting. Setting was peaceful. No crowds. Great service. We had the pepperoni and black olives, margarita and arugula and prosciutto, applewood bacon and cheddar. Served hot and good. 6 adults shared 4 pizzas (dinner plate size) and 3 house salads. Perfect in every way. Check out the website or call ahead for the daily menu.…

We heard of this little gem, and it wasn’t far from where we were staying. It is a very beautiful set up. The inside is nicely decorated. We were given a lot of descriptions of the wine and what kind of grapes that they were made of. The tasting experience was free. I think we tasted about 6-7 different wines. Then we ordered a pizza from the fire stone oven. It was delish. The total experience was great. Wish we lived closer. If they had some sort of entertainment (such as a band or other music), I feel it would bring in more people to be drinking wine. Don’t miss out on this place! Make the stop!…
