LeClaire, Iowa. It's a special place. A place where life on the land is intimately married to the flow of the waters. For centuries, people here have looked to the water for a sense of calm, a spirit of enjoyment and a connection to a heritage that is uniquely their own. That marriage of land and water is now embodied in a different kind of spirit. The Mississippi River Distilling Company hand craft Vodka, Gin, Whiskey, and Specialty Spirits slow and pure near the banks of the Mississippi River. Born from the finest grains, harvested just up the hill from the distillery. It’s a spirit born of land and water that draws each of us curiously back to a different era. Made for you, not for for the masses.

Enjoyed a few free samples of the their products - I enjoyed the Cody Road Bourbon and Honey Bourbon and I did buy a bottle. The tour is free - and it is another delightful addition to downtown... Another of our Le Clair must see stops for our day trip. Excellent free tour and explanation for their distilling operation and the types of spirits they make. The tour takes about 15-20 minutes. Then, you can retire to the tasting room! Free small samples of their products, My wife tried the River Baron Artisan Spirit & the Gin. I... More

The tour is free!!! Our guide was friendly and enthusiastic. They are very proud of the fact that they support other local businesses. They are generous with the pour in the tastings bar. The best part in my opinion is they offer mixers if you do not want to taste your sample straight. They had lemonade, blood orange soda, and... More

A friend and I were in Le Claire passing through from vending at a medieval faire and decided to stop for the night. We wandered this city the next day and took the tour offered here. The guide was friendly and we got to meet on the brothers, Ryan, who own the distillery. He took time out of his day to... More

Great little place. Get all their ingredients from local farmers and use distilled mash as animal feed. They were actually distilling when we went on the tour. It was great to actually see the hearts coming off the still.

This was a great addition to our day trip to Le Claire. The tour wasn't long as it was a small distillery but the staff was informative and friendly. Found a new favorite drink when doing the free tasting after the tour.

Very informative tour regarding how they produce their various products. They offered us free tastings. Very kind. The Iowish Creme, the Apple Pie, the Vodka, and the Gin. Do not miss this spot.

I was impressed with the Whiskey. I sampled the honey and bought a bottle. Then I sampled the apple Annie whiskey and bought a bottle. I had to stop sampling. Worth the stop.
