This is a nice gift shop with a lot of variety. Some of the food and merchandise may have Amish origins. I don’t think many are local. This is the nicest gift shop in the area. There is a Maid Rite restaurant attached. Clean restrooms....More

While traveling from Missouri to Iowa and then Minnesota I happened to note some signs on the Interstate (35) about an Amish store ahead. I learned it doubled, so to speak, as a Welcome Center for Iowa. Needing to stop for a second, my wife...More

I have stopped here many times over the years to visit family in Iowa, but never reviewed it. Love the Amish handmade items, baskets, candy, furniture, canned goods, jams, and homemade on site bakery items !! A MUST STOP PLACE on hwy 35.

Thinking it was just a welcome to Iowa center we stopped for a break. Pleasantly surprised. Just off the exit on the left. We missed it the first time. Lots of things to look at and eat. Worth a stop.

I usually stop here when I’m in the area for homemade Amish bread and other treats. There’s a great selection of crafts and food items as well as tourist information.

We finished dinner at the Maid-Rite restaurant next door, and I was curious about the Amish Country Store. It immediately reminded me of Cracker Barrel, which like the Amish Country Store, is attached to a country-style restaurant. The Country Store has a little of everything....More
