Personal experience in a scenic location
I went with my 5yo daughter and she had a blast! Penny was very good at calmly teaching my daughter how to safely walk near and ride her horse. The experience was very personal with just myself and my daughter in the group. We walked through the scenic property for an hour and fed the horses treats at the end. It’s well worth the drive to get there. The horses are very well looked after with the older one getting a stretch and massage before we took off.

    A fantastic horseriding experence
My daughter and I had a great time on our one day cattle muster. Great horses who are well cared for and with great temperaments. The ride leaders and team were all amazing. This was our second visit. The first time we completed a 4 hour adventure ride. If you enjoy riding, this is the place to go!

    Great experience, however...
Great people, horses, environment and ride. Will be back! It's proper country, so come prepared with a full tank of petrol, the closest place to refuel is 50km away. Also, don't expect your phone or internet to work.

    Fantastic ride
We had a fantastic weekend at Chapman Valley. It is perfect riding country with lovely long tracks for cantering and it was exhilarating flying up the hill at a gallop. Marg is a fantastic guide, Jess is a wonderful host and Pete is knowledgeable and takes great care of the cattle. The horses we rode were well cared for, responsive and a pleasure to ride. We had a comfortable stay in the new Drovers Quarters and loved relaxing on the verandah in the evening watching the horses enjoy their hay. We will definitely be back.

    An amazing weekend away
A great experience, i hadn’t been on a horse in decades. The guides were amazing, friendly and took away any nerves, the horses were quite and “mostly obedient”🤭 the guides explained everything well and we all had a great experience. Camping was so peaceful surrounded by trees and only our family and friends in the allocated site. Wonderful bird chatter, evidence of wombats though we didn’t see any, kangaroos, large lizards, cows and newborn calves. Four wheel driving tracks were an adventure and the ability to have a camp fire was great. Would definitely return if I’m in the region again. I come from Western Australia so was great to experience the different fauna and flora of the area.

Hands down the best horse riding experience! Such beautiful, safe, so well cared for and loved horses. The guides and all other workers on deck were so lovely, easy to talk to, and treated you like a friend. The place is idyllic. And the digital detox was needed. My Aunty and I are going to plan to back every year. Thank you to the beautiful people at Chapman Valley. Paige x

    Cattle Muster
We were on the cattle muster with our two adult children.Everything was great. The food, accommodation, horses and most of all the people who work at Chapmans who made our experience so memorable. All the animals are in top condition and well cared for. Thanks Chapman people.

Great experience for both an experienced and beginner rider. Will be back!
I'd heard great things about Chapman Valley from a friend who is an experienced rider and was very keen to come and try it for myself. Overall it was great, they cater for all levels of riders and particularly for experienced riders, which is quite rare. As an experienced rider, I can say the horses are responsive, well mannered and well trained. The entire property is enormous and there is no shortage of trails, it's really gorgeous. My partner is a total beginner so we weren't able to join an experienced ride, but we were alone on a shorter ride so our guide Marge let me hang back and get a few canters in, which was lovely. She also asked my partner whether she felt comfortable to try a trot, and gave her some instruction in how to go about it which was nice. For beginner riders, their intro/safety session is very thorough- you're in safe hands. Can't wait to come back for a half day experienced ride! Thanks to the team for a great day. ~ I will add that the property is quite remote and there are no shops or petrol in the vicinty- fuel up early and if you're staying at the property or nearby, be sure to get everything you need early. No phone coverage either for at least 45mins all around.

Great guides and the horses were very quiet and each had their own personality. The property is huge and it was good to have the opportunity for a trot and canter. The drive along the Putty Road from either end is spectacular and adds to the overall experience

Beautiful property, excellent ride, wonderful horses and staff
Excellent customer service, communication & horses! The team went out of their way to accommodate my booking & ensure I had the most fabulous experience. I did the 4 hr ride (half day) & didn't ride over the track once! Stunning countryside, Spur was a gentleman of a horse & Joce was a great guide. Thank you Rachael & Yhana for your organisation & communication throughout. I can't wait to come back here!

Had a great trail riding experience orgranised by Chapman Valley Horse Riding. We had had next to no riding experience (the last time we rode was more than 10 years ago), but the guide, Connor, made sure it was safe and enjoyable throughout.

Horses are well-trained and they all come with handsome look to boot - all in all highly recommended.

My favourite part of the muster was the care shown by all staff to the livestock. This extended to include matching riders with a horse for their level of riding experience.
Upon arrival in the morning we were met by staff who were friendly and professional, yet clearly a family run property.
All of the facilities were very clean, even feed and cattle yards.
Staff were experienced, checking in regularly with the group during the muster. All levels of riders were welcomed as the group was small.
The day was fun, well run, and was a genuine muster experience bringing in several mob of cattle.
This was a day I will not forget and I already decided to to a two or three day muster next time.
Cannot speak more highly of this wonderful experience on a breath takingly beautiful property mustering magnificent cattle on well educated and cared for horses. A truly amazing day!

Great spacious area for camping on private sites. Dry camping: no running water or toilet facilities, but able to drive to communal area RRP use amenities block, worth it for the privacy. Lovely nights with campfires and good spots to bush bash.

I've just had the pleasure of participating in the 3 day cattle muster. 6500 acres of beautiful country to explore, searching for cattle! Thank you Peter, Mary, Jess, Kona & Zoe who where very welcoming & made us feel part of the family. It was a great 3 days, couldn't fault it. Nothing was a problem, always happy to answer any of your questions & if you needed a hand with anything they were always willing to help. It was a very relaxed environment, just what you want if you are there to unwind from your busy lives. Attending to your own horse daily was your responsibility & also very rewarding (I hope Bullseye doesn't miss me too much). The food was cooked with love & we never went hungry! Lovely quiet cattle, except for one obstructive bull. So if you want to experience farm life then this is the place for you. They will try & include you in most things around the property. Peter is 5th generation & a very humble, knowledgeable man. Jess is 6th generation, skillfull & very competent in all things farming. If you are keen for the muster don't wait to book as it books out usually within hours (only 6 spots). I recommend you take that step, you won't regret it. This is an experience I will never forget! Thank you to the Chapman Valley team! This experience will stay with me forever.

When we arrived we were greeted by two very friendly girls and their dog. We fitted out into our riding gear were introduced to our horses then saddles up and were given riding instruction and told about each of our horses temperaments. We then set off on a two hour ride. We were told about the property and had a couple of goes at trotting. All in all a good two hours spent with friendly people with helpful instruction to improve our riding skills.

Wow! We were lucky enough to have only the two of us on our ride so it was like a private experience. Our trail guides were so friendly and accommodating. I was able to have a good canter on the amazing “Spud” and my riding buddy who was less experienced was able to trot at her own pace with her trail guide. The horses are so well cared for and loved. If you’re on the fence about going just do it! You won’t regret it. Thanks Jess, the trail
Guides and of course the amazing horses at Chapman Valley 🥰

It was so good to get a full day ride in at this beautiful scenic property with our great guide Marg. The horses are superb and seemed to love taking us around the property , they are sure footed and happy to go as fast or slow as you want. The flannel flowers were out en masse which added to a perfect break out from COVID restrictions.

We did an all day ride for my daughter's birthday. It was an amazing experience. Jo and Connor were excellent guides and great company. We have done horse riding at other places where they have too many riders at a time and you spend half the time waiting around or walking single file, but this was a nice small group with plenty of space, and we got to know our horses and feel like we were properly riding them. Warning though, the all day ride makes you sore.

This was my second time doing the 3 day cattle muster in winter and it did not disappoint! It is fantastic working with the family to round up and bring in the cattle. From the beginning you are hands on preparing, saddling up, grooming and feeding your horse. The family and staff are totally generous and genuine. No better to unwind and slow down in the country air.
