We were lucky enough to watch a boat using the staircase, marvellous how the whole thing works slowly lowering the boat down through the steps, very interesting and somewhat relaxing too set in lovely countryside, nice for a look if your in the area.
It's difficult to call this a 'tourist attraction' as such. If travelling by boat you have to pass through these locks anyway, but if you are just in the area, driving, cycling or walking, its worth a stop to look around and experience a bit...More
