This was our first time departing from this marina, it's conveniently located easy to find, plenty of parking available.

Rates are very reasonable and the staff very accommodating. The marina is a full service marina and sits at the edge of Dubuque. You are within walking distance of casino, restaurants and night clubs. The convenience store at the marina is fully stocked. Dubuque is a great place to boat to and have a great weekend.

We went there for the SWAT Boat Tours. It was a cool little area. We saw one of the biggest Paddle Boats I have ever seen. It was like the Titanic of Paddle boats.

While boating on the Mississippi River we overnighted at this marina. The rate was 10 dollars per foot of boat per night for the slip fee. We registered online for our slip of choice. Maximum length of stay is 10 nights. Showers and bathrooms were very clean. The marina is gated with a punchpad locking system (you select your passcode at registration. The marina is located right downtown Dubuque so the location is perfect for exploring. Plenty of restaurants nearby as well as a casino and the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium. Both of these are next door along the river front. We gassed up before leaving the next morning. This is one of the nicest marinas we have stayed at when cruising the upper Mississippi River. They have a very nice web site as well.

We have been boating up and down the Mississippi River for 40 years. We love Dubuque, the river front, the big boats, the downtown and it's history. My rating is on the marina, not the town or anything else. The last 2 years the Covid tag is ruining that marina. While the rest of the world recovers from Covid as it is now part of our lives, this marina remains locked down. The trash doesn't get picked up, the store remains locked. The spider webs are making the place look like a haunted mansion. Such a shame. This is one of the nicest marinas on the river. This year alone we have slept on our boat 25 nights from St. Paul MN to Hudson WI on the St Croix river, Lake City, La Crosse , Dubuque and many more. This marina is by far the biggest disappointment. They have 70 slips of which 60 are empty. They are losing 3000 bucks a day in slip fees alone. If I was a tax payer, I would be angry with the city. They have one employee that spends his time in the store with the doors locked and walks down to the gas dock when he sees a boat pull in. I'll bet I saw 10 boats over 2 days pull up to the gas dock and then pull away due to no service. I guess Dubuque can afford to leave a 10 million dollar facility sit empty. A shame, just a shame.
