After reading a few bad reviews, I was expecting a dirty hotel and pool area, but was pleasantly surprised to find the whole place very clean. Our room was updated and comfortable. The beds and pillows were very nice and we all slept well. There was even an extra pillow stored in the dresser drawer, which is rare to find these days. The waterpark had something for all ages. It was very clean and didn't have garbage or dirty towels laying around as some reviewers had stated. Everything worked well, with the exception one small area that was under repair and roped off. The staff was friendly and and extra items needed from housekeeping were promptly delivered our room. The free breakfast buffet was well set up, with staff constantly refilling and cleaning. There could have been a bit more of a selection, but for it being free, it was good. The lobby and check-in area was a bit congested, which normally might not be a big deal, but with the required social distancing, it was a little crowded. If they could knock out a wall or two and reroute traffic going to and from the waterpark, it would definitely help with the congestion. All in all, it was a good, clean place that we would definitely recommend and would also return to.

We went to the Grand Harbor Resort as a much-needed family getaway during all of this COVID hoopla. Some of the recent reviews were a concern, but I went ahead and booked it anyway. I made sure the waterpark would be open during our stay and brought extra cleaning wipes just in case. The check-in went smoothly, and we got our room right away. We had Tony Roma's for dinner; my son feasted like a king unlike other reviews. My cajun pasta could have been a bit spicer, but I like my food to be really spicy. My sangria was great. We went to the waterpark from 6 - 9 pm. It was a bit crowded at first, but we managed to snag a table and my son was able to stay away from other guests and enjoy the waterpark. On Saturdays, the waterpark is limited to registered guests. The waterpark was smaller than the ones we go to in the Dells, but my son still had a good time. The beds in our room were comfy and everything was clean and in working order. No need for those wipes I brought. For the most part, everybody wore masks, but some people needed to be reminded more than others.

The hotel is very outdated The rooms have not ever been updated The carpet is gross The entrance is not welcoming - you walk in and within what seems likes a 12’x12’ area - you have a staircase, the elevators, the desk with 2 people checking you in, the walk thru for people going to the pool and the tiny sundries options. The phone is ringing off the hook, people are at the one of two desks waiting to put in a maintenance request to fix the TV, or stop the leak in the sink or their room smells heavily of cigarettes and they need a new room. Two of the clean towels that I used had a long black hair on them - I have blonde hair. I will add that the front desk staff are very nice, patient and forgiving for the hotel shortcomings. The housekeeping staff are very friendly also. Tony Roma’s was ok. They accommodated us to outside seating at the last minute. However my daughter had something disgusting in her food.

We went the last weekend in February for a daytrip to the waterpark. We brought our 3 yr old. He was entertained, and we did have a good time. But there were many things that we were disappointed with. Many things on the play area needed fixed, and there were so many spots that were rusting or really needed repainting. Not sure if things ever get cleaned, but corners in stairways were noticeably grimy or green. I think there is supposed to be a bell that sounds before the bucket dumps- which would be a great warning since we wanted to avoid it - but you either can't hear it or it's broken, not sure. We enjoyed the slides. My son liked stomping around the smaller kiddie pool. Besides the slide in there, there wasn't much for entertainment in that area. Sprays of water make it look fun, but aren't super entertaining. There are no locker rooms really. There are bathrooms, which had a few bathroom stalls, some showers (with no dressing area next to them) and like half a bench in an small area. I ended up changing in a bathroom stall, balancing my things on the TP holder and trying desperately not to let anything touch the icky floor. There was one stall with a mess in it, which was there the whole time we were. They clearly don't get checked often. There are lockers you can rent, and we did pay for a big one. Most people were just leaving their things on chairs and such, but we are cautious. The lockers are in the most inconvenient location, right in front of the doors. Also, I tried to use cash and the machine ate my $5. Wasn't worth getting help at the time with my child impatient to swim as it was. When we inquired about it upon leaving (after the third person we talked to), we were told they couldn't get our money back. No apologies. Not worth a fight. Worth noting that it was freezing in the water area. Like my child's lips were straight up purple. They do provide towels but I was very glad we brought our own, as theirs are approximately 2 x 3 ft in size. The entire waterpark area just felt so dirty - especially the bathrooms. I couldn't wait to get home and shower. Way overpriced for what you get and for the state of things.

Went for just the day for water park. Over $50. for family of 4! With kids! $5.for locker! Have see through showers and NEED dressing areas. Plus it was FREEZING in the bathrooms! Towels were every where! For water park area.... many items did not work, tubes needed to be picked up. They were every where in the way. The water area had dirt and sand all over the bottom. The place needs a good cleaning and paint job! The floors all over were gross and when you sell food have someone that cleans off tables and picks up dirty, used items on tables. Not to mention the food on the floor. Again used towels were every where! Clean it up please!
