We went here to pick up some local maps and were very impressed. Not only did we find the maps we needed, but got very helpful advice from the hostess on duty.

Went by here the last day we were in Dubuque...wish we'd gone in sooner. The woman working there was super friendly, knowledgable. The gifts were really good and super affordable.

We love to start at the welcome center in a town whenever possible as the locals can steer you in the right direction. This guide did just that. We left armed with a handful of brochures and totally enjoyed two days of exploring Dubuque. The young man there was so helpful and kind. Nice to see someone excited about what... More

Has lots of information about Dubuque, which is a really neat town and for nearby places as well. Maps of Dubuque and the state are available. The young gentleman was very polite but couldn't tell us which route to take to Ames.

The lady working here the day we visited was very helpful, honest, and humorous. Obviously, plenty of brochures for Dubuque and surrounding areas and interesting souvenirs.

We were drifting down to Branson from Wisconsin Dells and stopped in Dubuque to look for geocaches. The ladies at the welcome were really friendly and upbeat. Made us want to return for a longer visit :-)

This is definitely a stand out building , you literally cannot miss it. It was apparently the courthouse for Dubuque County originally. It's awesome and well preserved.

Very helpful - from wine to chocolates to t-shirt - as well as places to visit can be found at the Dubuque Welcome Center. Purchased sweatshirts for family members who wear them in Houston, TX

They were more that just helpful, they came up with things to do in the tri-state area bordering on the Mississippi. We were loaded down with maps and tours and restaurants and shops. Had a great time just visiting with the welcome center.

Fabulous historic building worth seeing. Impeccable maintained and so fortunate that it remains a vital part of the community. I appreciate that some parts of our country do not tear down these historic buildings with so much craftsmanship.
