Gorgeous Hosta display and stunning Asian garden. Rcks and water features and shady paths....call ahead if you have a handicapped person in your party and they can arrange a little tour by a golf cart type of affair. Every vista is beautiful. AS a fan of Chicago, St. Louis, and Los Angeles public gardens, I would say it compares in... More

This is a MUST visit when coming to Dubuque, IA whether you have a green thumb or not, or have a love of flowers and trees or not. There is so much to see, smell and hear while casually walking on the paths. While we were there a portion of the grounds was getting ready for a wedding, with rows... More

Great place to enjoy and smell the variety of flowers, hostas, and Chinese garden. The pavilion or Gazebo is a great venue to host a wedding. Also enjoy live music on Sunday evenings in the Summer.

We make it a point to visit botanical gardens in the cities we visit on our road trips. My wife and I had stopped in at these gardens during our previous visit to Dubuque(2004). My, how these gardens have grown! What a delightful setting and design. . These gardens are among the best we've encountered. The annuals and perenials were... More

We did not spend very much time within the Arboretum area. There are certainly plenty of trees. The gardens, however, are just plain gorgeous. Lots of pretty flowers laid out in a tasteful manner.

My very favorite peaceful, beautiful spot in Dubuque all kept up by volunteers. Music in the Park on Sunday evenings, in the summer, is heavenly. So impressive!

Gorgeous vegetation and paths await you. Beautiful kept up with a multitude of flowers you may want to stop back every couple of weeks to see what's blooming. There's even a dessert area. It's free and just a beautiful place to take a break. I love heading here at sunset. There is a very nice gift shop in the center... More

The arboretum stop was part of a day trip on May 21 after the Old House Enthusiast Tour and art fest. It was lovely even though we were a little earlier for many of the blooms. It made a perfect place for a wedding that we witnessed. I would go back because many of us were to walk much further... More

Well cared for and well appointed spot. Playground is one of the few with shade. Nice gardens and ponds. Watch for special events.
