You'll have quite a few options when it comes to produce. Our strategy is to do a complete outside walk first to check out the different vendors then go back to ones we showed interest in. Almost everyone accepts card.

Our Saturdays between May and October don't seem right unless we make our weekly trip to the Farmers Market. We start our experience with a sausage breakfast sandwich at Guys and Gals. The sausage is made special for this sandwich and I also need to mention the 50 cent coffee and fresh muffins. After a leisurely hour people watching from... More

It's so fun to be able to go to a Farmer's Market nearby with a great view. It's a great size without being overwhelming, and I had my first Dutch Letter ever there. DELICIOUS. I would definitely recommend this if you're able to walk. Dog-friendly for sure. Lots of variety for people to eat and/or shop.

Really great outdoor market experience. Wide range of vendors including fresh produce, other home made food products, crafts, and goods made by local/regional entrepreneurs. A must see if in Des Moines. Well worth the drive.

I love the Saturday morning downtown Farmer's Market! From the fresh variety of foods, to hot cooked breakfast dishes (burritos is my fav!) to the bloody mary and mimosa stands. The live music. Hand made clothes, jewelry and other goods. Great to see friends and former co-workers. People and dog watching is always fun too.

This place is always crowded and understandably so. If you're looking for fresh items to fix or look to find something unusual handmade item for the home then this is the place to be. the selection and taste of the food is always outstanding and the people are always so kind and helpful. I slacked off last summer and only... More

I always visit the Farmers Market in a new city, if one exist. This one is one of the best I visited. Is having everything that you will expect in a market and even more like clothing and other useful stuff

The farmers market downtown is always a good time. Many vendors cater to all tastes. Farm Bros have great breakfast burritos. You can buy a bouquet of flowers or fresh produce. Dogs are welcome.
