I love the Saturday morning downtown Farmer's Market! From the fresh variety of foods, to hot cooked breakfast dishes (burritos is my fav!) to the bloody mary and mimosa stands. The live music. Hand made clothes, jewelry and other goods. Great to see friends and former co-workers. People and dog watching is always fun too.

If you're looking for fresh items to fix or look to find something unusual handmade item for the home then this is the place to be. the selection and taste of the food is always outstanding and the people are always so kind and helpful. I always visit the Farmers Market in a new city, if one exist. This one is one of the best I visited. Is having everything that you will expect in a market and even more like clothing and other useful stuff

The farmers market downtown is always a good time. Many vendors cater to all tastes. Farm Bros have great breakfast burritos. You can buy a bouquet of flowers or fresh produce. Dogs are welcome.

The Downtown Farmers Market is a must see for anyone living or visiting in Des Moines. It is held every Saturday from May through October and the hours are 7 AM to Noon. There is almost everything you could want at the market. There are booths that serve breakfast items, pastries, meats and produce. Many booths sell clothing items or... More

Tons of venders, plenty of food, big crowds...one of the best! As they say, shop early for best selection (and parking). Seriously, depends on time of year, but you can find pretty much everything seasonal here. Great people-watching, too.

Several times a year my son and I visit the Saturday Morning downtown farmers market. We go early to catch breakfast and stay for the food culture and music. We almost find something unusual to buy. I would recommend to locals and travelers alike.

For as long as I can remember, I have loved this Farmers Market. It is huge, covering multiple blocks along downtown's Court Avenue and perpendicular cross streets, and has long been a Saturday morning staple for people in Des Moines. Not only are there endless vendors from whom you can purchase fresh produce, flowers, meat, cheese, clothes and more, but... More
