This is the best farmers market in the Midwest! There is a plethora of vendors from all over the state. An amazing variety of entertainment and lots of delicious food to eat. If you don't come to shop then you should come for the people watching, there are plenty of pets, too. Definitely put this on your list of things... More

A little bit for everyone. Whether it is breakfast, vegetables, pies, meat, lawn art there is a little bit for everyone. Then you can go east to the Principal Riverwalk for a stroll to walk off what you have eaten.

This is the largest and best farmers market we have been to. They have the best selection of produce, and pastries. The absolutely best thing there is the breakfast burritos! I had mine in a bowl-very fresh ingredients, nice people too! I wish I would remember the name of the place but it was at the end of the street,... More

Lot's of fresh veggies, baked goods, crafts and eats to choose from!! We go almost every Saturday morning. Last week I purchased a Blueberry Fried Pie from the Amish ladies - OH What a treat!! There is also a Jam Lady who has the most yummy jam! Must do.

We live in Johnston and often plan bike outings early on Saturday mornings so that we can bike the 12.5 miles to the market with friends! Once there we check out the vendors, enjoy coffee and breakfast and have a great time then bike home. The bike valet is safe and perfect for parking bikes so we can check out... More

I get really irritated when I see a fruit or veggie stand at the downtown farmers market and the produce has UPC stickers on it. A farmers market should only be for farmers. I also get irritated by the constant nattering of those who say dogs should be banned from the market. You know what should be banned? Strollers. And... More

This is one the best farmers' markets in the whole country. Blocks and blocks of vendors selling TONS of produce, flowers, baked goods, jellys/jams/salsas and also homegoods. Beware - it can get very crowded. We had trouble navigating with a stroller. Go early for your best navigation, but be sure to go. It's great!

This is a really well done farmer's market. Court Ave from about 2nd street to 4th street is closed off every Saturday morning from 7:00 AM to noon May through October. The street is lined with tents, merchants, musicians and booths. Most of the tables are selling produce and true farm to market food. Surprisingly, there were not many crafts... More
