Let's level set here. This is not your NYC or Chicago type of art museum. However, it does offer a nice collection mix in a tranquil and scenic section of town.

Very modern art displayed. The film of the classical flamenco dancer was the part I liked best. Interesting display of contemporary art.

Underwhelming....the layout of the museum made it a little difficult to navigate (choppy). The exhibits just seemed to be pieced together. This just wasn't what I was expecting.

Nope! The Des Moines Art Center is always free to visit as is the Pappajohn Sculpture Park downtown. We hope to see you soon!
