It has a nice variety of art genres for a local art museum. It is free with free parking. You can't beat that.

Go for a wonderful art museum experience. The collection is surprisingly impressive. The buildings are art treasures as well. Give yourself time to soak it all in.

This is not a huge museum, nor is it comprehensive. However, it is possible to get a reasonable look at their exhibits in 60-90", which worked for us. It is not overwhelming, but neither is it a disappointment. A number of major artist's works are...More

Does anyone remember Jo Hipler, the artist from Big Pine? (0 Replies)
She had a studio at her home on Big Pine Key and Tomahawk WI. She had displays at Key West Art Center and East Martello Gallery.

One day in Denver, no car, what should I see? (1 Replies)
Thanks in advance for any information. I will have one day in Denver and am looking for advice on what to do with myself. I will be staying near the DPAC (Denver Performing Art Center) and I will not have a car. Thanks again.

If it were me: The Colorado History Museum, Rockies baseball game, REI flagship store and kayak watching at the nearby river. All would be walking distance or free 16th street Mall Shuttle.

Garden Pier (2 Replies)
Does anyone know if the Garden Pier has reopened yet? With all this so-called new DO AC advertising and political bull, it seems a disgrace if the Museum and Art Center are not open for prime summer season. Or, is this part of the plan?

The renovation was scheduled for completion before Memorial Day weekend. Like most other AC projects it is behind schedule. The chain link fence is blocking the entrance and there is very little construction activity going on. Last week I noticed a few workmen working on the exterior stucco walls. Maybe it will be finished for NEXT summer.
