Been going for years, but no more. Way over priced, over crowded, and lousy parking situation. Value here has diminished over the years, especially with their "alacarte" pricing on many things. They have some cool stuff on occasion, but mostly disappointing.

Went with a friend and our children. Great fun for our toddlers! And, we had fun too! Lots to do and great fun learning! The cafeteria is nice too! Next time, I want to do the imax too.

We've been members of the science center for a few years, and my daughter absolutely loves coming here. The planetarium was recently remodeled and offers a lot of great features throughout the day. They also have traveling exhibits that go through the science center, so things are always changing which keeps the experience fresh and fun.

We had 3 grandkids with us for our visit here. What a fun place with many different experiences, all hands-on. The ages ranged from 5 to 12 and we all really enjoyed it. There were activities for all of us, including the adults.

We have a relatively new building for our Science Center which is South of the center of downtown. There is a parking garage across the street. There are special exhibits and special programs advertised monthly. There is an Imax theater. I take my relatives there when they visit me and relatives of all ages seems to find it interesting.

An amazing venue for children and adults alike! I know my level of anticipation equals the 5 grandkids 6-11 (I'm early 70's); have attended four years straight. We usually stay around two hours though could easily double that. Attending presentations are a highlight though the variety of hands-on activities easily satisfies the curiosity and energy of children.

Very nice place and lots of activities. After visiting with my teen, we realized she enjoyed it much more when she was younger. The new music area was enjoyable.

My wife and I went to visit the museum as new arrivals to Des Moines. The museum has great interactive exhibits for younger children (3-12, in my estimation), but is lacking anything for adults. Once we get some grandchildren, we will bring them to see.

We arrived at the Museum 15 minutes after they opened. The young man at the entrance was very polite and patient with us. Our children, ages 14, 10 and 5 enjoyed the exhibits and shows very much. Andrea did a wonderful job with her show about the digestive system and with working with the children at the building area. All... More
