The only hill station in Vidarbh Region, Chikhaldara lies gracefully in the bosom of the Satpuda Range. It offers a hearty treat to the forest lovers and quenches yearnings of an uninterrupted vacation in the hills. Mansoon and Winter are best time to visit though in mansoon you wont see much wildlife.

Chikhaldara has a unique type of Forest. It has huge area, dense forest and very hilly. There is large no of Wildlife. But because of dense forest and hilly structure visibility of animals is less. You have good time to visit for Wildlife April-May-June.

Didn't go there with much expectations as it's more of a hangout place or kind of a picnic spot these days. However the landscape are quite beautiful and nature can be experienced at its full glory. Quite a panaromic view. Good for clicking photographs.

It's a wonderful journey. Once past Chikhaldara town and going towards Semadoh town, you encounter thick teak forest and curving mountain roads. Occasional other vehicles, and a shepherd with buffaloes and cows travel on this road in dense jungle. The Sipna river valley is scenic. Huge tall trees of teak with broad leaves, Arjun and other such tall trees make... More
