Awesome View on the way - Must visit place in Udaipur area
Sep 2017 • Family
The place is about 30 minutes drive once you take a detour from the main road going towards Udaipur while driving towards Pangi valley. Once you take the detour, you need to drive through hills and beautiful villages on your way to Trilokinath temple. It is located at hill top and you can have a beautiful view of the valley from the top with flowing Chenab river flowing downward from Keylong (Tandi). Once you reach the place, you need to park your vehicle in the parking area and walk about 300meters to the shrine. The temple houses Lord Budha and Lod Shiiva and the same is looked after by the Budhist priests. The small village has mainly Budhist population. There are small shops from where you can buy provision. There is lady selling many stuffs includes some China wares. We purchased a Tea set (6 cups and 6 saucers) for a reasonable price. A must visit place on your way to Udaipur.

One of the best places near Udaipur- Keylong

Mesmeric views from the top of the temple. The roads are a bit dodgy while coming from Udaipur but the temple complex and surroundings will make your journey worth the effort. It is approximately 2.5 hours drive from Keylong.

A temple revered by both Hindus and Buddhists
Nov 2016 • Friends
Sri Trilokinathji Temple, located at the Lahual-Spiti Valley is about half an hour drive from Udaypur village towards Keylong. The uniqueness of this 8th century Shiva temple is that it is revered by both Hindus, as well as Tibetan Buddhists. When we entered the temple, the pujari who offered us prasad was a Lama, who was chanting from his Buddhist scriptures. This temple is considered as the 5th Dham of Uttarakhand (Choti Dham). Splendid view of peaks at the backdrop of this temple.

A place ..for the peace of mind..

Trilokinath Dham..amidst of Green picaresque Mountail of Himachal..is a pilgrim spot..but clean n less crowded..both Bouddha n Hindu religion people visit here..

The Sri Trilokinath ji Temple is sacred to both Tibetan Buddhists and Hindus. There is apparently nothing left of the original temple structure, but there is a strong local tradition that says Trilokinath was originally a Buddhist vihara. It is revered as Avalokiteshvara by Buddhists and as Shiva by Hindus and is crowned with an image of Amitabha Buddha - the 'Buddha of Boundless Light.'

Well the Trilokinath temple is visited by both Hindu and Buddhist devotees... Buddhist consider it to be the marble statue of the god of the wisdom Avalokiteshvara, or ( Chenrezig in Tibetan ) if visit you should also visit the Udaipur after this place and halt for a night to absorb the feeling of being in the mountain where you can clearly see billions of stars in the sky at night... so enjoy ur stay..

When you will reach here you will never want to come back from this beautiful place in Himalayas. Just before reaching Keylong you have to take a left towards Udaipur to reach this temple which is around 40 kms from there --- the temple has two pillers adjecent to the inner walls near the Murti and if you can take a round of each pillar (which is impossible because of its closeness to wall), they say then you can ask for any boon there.
